If anyone wants a lesson on situational awareness and staying ahead of the aircraft, all of these videos demonstrate this to perfection. Any aspiring pilot should set their bar to Kay and try to get to it. Fantastic airmanship.

You 100% need to get to Broadway if you want live music. I'm in Hopkinsville, Ky but am from Tennessee and frequent Nashville often. It's only about a 15 minute Uber from John C. Tune to downtown, or if you're going to stay a few days Turo is a great option. Also, Nashville has become a pretty big foodie spot. I recommend The Black Tap, it's slightly less crowded since it isn't on Broadway but has some amazing food, like their Korean BBQ wings and milkshakes with entire slices of cake on top of them.

I used to be an A&P in Nashville. At that time (1981 - 1995), Tune Airport was right next to a landfill. Bird strikes and animal runway incursions were frequent. We had a DH-125 land at BNA on our ramp (Hangar 9) with a deer lodged in the right engine. It had departed from Tune and collected the deer on takeoff. What a mess.

Idea to keep your hot chocolate or beverage warm longer. Ask the store for an extra empty cup the same size. If they are hesitant you let you have it them know it's because you want to split it with someone else. Then use the empty cup around yours... two cups stacked together. It will stay warm a lot longer. It works for me! :)

BNA is my home airport. If you're coming into Nashville and plan on doing "tourist" stuff I'd land at JWN. You're going to have much less activity there than BNA and there isn't much difference to get into the city. It may even be cheaper and faster because you're not needing to deal with the wait at BNA. There is more hotel availability near BNA though so they all have shuttles. As far as things to do it will depend on what exactly you want to do. Clearly the main things are lower Broadway, bars, hot chicken and pedal taverns. (I avoid all but the hot chicken)

I don't fly in the real world but I enjoy watching videos from real world pilots because it gives me ideas for places to fly to in Flight Simulator or X-Plane. That being said, I developed a philosophy as a amateur travel photographer: every outing is a scouting mission for the next outing. It's like what you are saying about wanting to stay a few more days the next time so that you can explore. And then next time, you'll probably have a list of places you want to do a deeper dive into or areas you want to first time visit.

I enjoy your enjoyment flying. You mention your glide distance at one point. If you enable Glide Advisor in Foreflight, it will pair with your distance rings based on best glide speed for your aircraft. Take in the grand ole oprey, try a tour of Ryman Auditorium tour, the Ryman the original location of the Oprey, they cut a circle of stage out and inlaid it in the new location, so all headline performances are on the original stage planks.

The weather at Camden caught me by surprise, given how cold it was in Nashville. The forecast was 16C, which is roughly 60F. The top of your head conversion is pretty easy. Double 16 = 32. Add 30 and you get 62. It's actually 60.8, but that's the easy button conversion. Simply reverse to go from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Most of it deals with military aviation and is located outside Memphis by I forget how many miles. After training, I flew back to San Diego for training on my specific type/model/series of aircraft. From there, I flew to the Philippines to rendezvous with my aircraft squadron, which was deployed on board an aircraft carrier in rotation to the South China Sea off the coast of Vietnam. After 2000 MSL start leaning your mixture gradually every 1000ft. This will save fuel, generate more power, and keep lead on plugs down to a minimum. Keep an eye on CHT and EGT as you lean not to exceed the limits of your plane. CHT should not exceed 400, but not sure on your planes EGT. I stopped drinking coke and pepsi about 10 years ago when my cardiologist told me they cause people to retain weight...well great, I've been drinking 4-6 a day for a few decades. Keep up the good flights. Talking through them is awesome.
