Hi Lauren! My fur baby passed away this past summer and it was the hardest struggle I’ve ever been through. I felt like a part of me left with him and it’s been hard ever since. I too used to buy the Costco advent calendar for him and we would open it daily watching your vlog. This Christmas hasn’t been the same without him but I just wanted to say thank you for uploading. I get a little sad watching the puppers but also so much comfort. They are so lucky to have the best fur mommy! Don’t ever stop with the advent calendars pls! It brings me joy ❤️

i would have a mini fridge in the garage in case the fridge situation happens again. It could save you rom having to throw out the food and you can have food at home while they get it fix

Lauren, I've had that happen to my nail. It was from a small sliver getting stuck under my nail and causing a bacterial infection further down the nail (underneath the nail). My doc and nail tec recommended soaking my finger daily in tea tree oil until it grew out.

Just ask your primary care provider for an antifungal for your nail (Terbinafine aka Lamisil or Itraconazole aka Sporanox). There are also OTC products, but the med works better - but might take months or longer to clear up and also grow out.

Do you ever turn the couch into regular sectional and not big square where you have to lay down when guests come? It looks so comfy just curious how it works when people r over hanging out to sit. I have cream couch and have covers all over it for my dogs too. For sure won’t ever get light couch again it is annoying always having to cover it and never see the couch.

Hi Lauren! I have a derm condition called lichen striatus which caused a similar nail situation to happen to me too. It got better with the use of steroid cream, but yes definitely check with a dermatologist!

Lauren, so crazy when u were showing one hand I was like damn her nails look so good I'm jealous those are so cute for Christmas. Rn I have detached nails a couple got infected with fungus so I have to avoid fake nails for now. It looks similar to the fungus infected nails even tho its not green but that's good u have an appointment. Hopefully it's something that can be treated quicker than the fungus infected nails

Herro! I’m not TRYING to say it’s this area or anything but I’m from Ontario lol and a lot of my girly friends that get their nails done on the reg experience something like that! Not common but does happen, I first seen it on my friends mom when I was younger she was saying something about getting nails done over and over without a good break in between to breath the nail could get “thin” in certain areas OR if you had a cut near your nail and the littlest bacteria got in the cells/area 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope things heal quickly! ❤️❤️

I'VE HAD THE NAIL THING BEFORE and unfortunately in my case it was technically a nail fungus, the problem is it's subcutaneous (dont know if that's the exact word im remembering from when i did get my GP's input) Mine wasn't at the point where I needed anti fungal cream but they did recommend soaking my fingers in salt water and to not put anything on my nail til it grew out so don't know if this helps but that's what made mine go away :') what causes it is moisture getting under the nail bed!

Nail tech here- and my *not a dr* diagnosis is a melanonychia, it’s related to the melanin in the skin and is more common in African, Caribbean, and Japanese ethnicities but can affect anyone. It can be triggered by an injury, psoriasis, or medication changes. My googling seems to conclude that it *is worth getting checked out but that it very likely will not require any medical intervention

Just catching up on vlogmas today! 💕But I just wanted to say that your nail looks like the same thing that happened to my two big toes! I got some new dudes and wore them to a music festival in July and the stress from the tight shoes made me get blood blisters under my toenails, which turned into a fungal thing. I went to a foot doctor and he had me grab an over the counter antifungal treatment that I just brushed on my nails every day. And every couple days I had to file it because it does build up. But if you get your nails done religiously the gel/ acrylic/ whatever you use can create pressure and stress on your nail and do the same thing! I hope this helps I know I’m late to the chat 😂 P.S. I was terrified it was melanoma as well!! 😂

Nails can develop cancer underneath of them and it can appear like that. I’m not saying that to scare you, but so you can be progressive and get it checked ASAP! If it hasn’t grown bigger in those months I would not stress very much. Sending you love!
