Shedeur had a up and down game but you have to love the fight in him when thing aren’t going good. I’ve been saying it since the first game, Shedeur have to be more consistent checking the ball down;especially, to his skillful running back. When Dallan comes back this upcoming week he have to hit him in the flat more or take what the defense give him. He’s been under throwing Lajohntay and Jimmy a lot this year on deep routes and he got the arm strength to actually put it out there, I think that’ll improve as the year go on because he consistently hit them routes at practice to them. The last thing is he have to get the ball to Lajohntay a lot more because he’s shifty af and he usually make the first more miss, he sometimes throw it behind Lajohntay or miss him, but at practice that’s his favorite connection besides Travis. Will is a good receiver, I hope people understand that! I like the resilience Shedeur showed this game though.

@okra3000Ай бұрын
He holds the ball too long trying to throw bombs. He's tiring out his OL by refusing to run the ball and refusing to throw short passes to the middle of the field.
@ry9445Ай бұрын
@@okra3000 Have you ever noticed that every defense Colorado faces ignores the running game? They play with 1 LB from the box, it's almost always 5x5 (OL x DL and LB) and even then the run doesn't work. It's not hard to see that OL is trash
@okra3000Ай бұрын
@@ry9445 the run game works when the right RBs are in the game (anyone but Charlie). #2 makes it easy for defenses to pressure him. They know he wants to pass the ball to pad his stats, and they know his top priority is the deep ball. Waiting for a deep play to develop increases the D's chances of getting a sack, and wears down the OL. Running the ball and throwing shorter passes to a slot receiver in the middle of the field would relieve pressure on #2 because he'd get rid of the ball faster or wouldn't have the ball at all. Running keeps the OL aggressive. Short passes keep the OL from getting winded due to not having to block 15 sec plus every down. This all leads to a balanced, more efficient offense where a win isn't solely dependent on late game heroics and spectacular QB play. That being said the goal for CU isn't just winning it's making sure #2 goes early in the 1st round, thus stats must be padded lol. I love Prime and his boys but it is what it is.
@intellectualgreat8693Ай бұрын
I've been saying that Omarion Miller needs more playing time and I recently watched two videos, one where Coach Prime was asked about O and said that it all comes down to him practicing well, and another video where Lajohntay was interviewed for a podcast and was saying that he and the other teammates were happy O scored his first TD and that they get on him about being consistent in practice all the time. My question to you is this: do you think that even if he isn't all that great or consistent in practice that he should still be given more opportunities to play in the game because he clearly shows up in the games when it matters most. Me personally, I get the logic behind wanting players to do well in practice, but I feel like there are exceptions to the rule for certain players who just perform well under the bright lights.

They just really started running the ball this game tbh but look up their running percentage and averages if you don’t watch the complete games. Running the ball keep defenses honest, it slows down the rush, it keep your Oline aggressive and it set up the pass. They ran the ball against South Dakota good when they got the chance and Nebraska whenever they got the chance and the creativity in the running game them two game was terrible, but this game they did better. Will was strapped all game long, that DB had Will on lock. Will could not get separation at all. Wester saved Will's ass! Omarion needs to start over Shep. This guy was build as the ultimate WR while averaging 37 yards a game with the Buffs pass happy offense. 0 TDs, 0 YAC yards, 148 total yards in 4 games. You see DBs chasing Hunter, Wester, and Horn all over the field. Will is no where to be found, off screen doing whatever not coming back to the ball. I've only seen him work zone coverages, when it's man to man? That 4.7 and stiff ain't gaining much separation with decent corners. The man disappears for quarters a time. Teams don't even care about Shep has several of his catches he had no one covering him. We have better than that on the roster. Prime plays favoritism and I don't care if he's a senior or not. You have better players who need to play in front. That way, you number 2 guy is not the 4th or 5 damn option in the game.
@hababaconАй бұрын
Wester came as advertised, and if the Buffs didn't go 4 wide (I hate this formation) he would start over Jimmy Horn, despite not being as fast. The jury is still out on Benson as he's giving sacks, I've seen 4 sacks giving up this year so far by Benson despite what PFF says. McKinney and Hodge I expected abit more out of, but they're still solid corners. No worst than Omarion Cooper, and certainly better than Breadlove and Cormani. Hayes, despite not having a tone of sacks, plays the run and is as advertised. Green plays the run well, same with NHG. Other guys have either been injured, benched, or backups, but I think I'm a little, and I mean just a little disappointed in Sam O. I expected more from him going against usually less athletic RTs. Shep has been a major disappointment so far, I'm guessing he probably balls out this week to make up for his lackluster performance thus far. Can't really grade our RBs due to Charlie O wasting time as the starter, injuries, but I said it during summer camp I thought Micah was the better back out of all of them.
@okra3000Ай бұрын
Shep is a big clumsy Great Dane that can't fetch; not the "Dawg" we thought we were getting.
@hababaconАй бұрын
@okra3000 He's decent, but this isn't the offense for him. He started all 12 games last year and had 684 yards. That's about 57 yards a game. Some folks blamed the QB. Some folks blamed Will. I think it was Will. The top complaint I saw was the lack of separation against good corners. Against bad corners and zone he ate all day. The way we play offense with speed demons Sheppard is slowing us down. Timmons or Miller are better options.
