Cryptos Increased EMP range is actually bad lol. Makes it way harder to use and theres definitely no adjustment on the stun time. Probably the least thought out perks are on Crypto. Both purple perks for him are bad.

Increasing EMP radius could actually be considered a nerf. It increases the time you have to spend flying away from yourself if you're trying to EMP aggressively. If you're just trying to farm damage in zone it's fine, but bigger EMP is inherently less flexible

35:48 with rampart amp covers you reload faster with any weapon not just sheila so if it works for teammates it's pretty strong, you should've showcased the difference. The reload time is actually really fast it's like having ballistic ult fast reload. If you know how to play with your walls it's actually an insane perk

Honestly, I love the baby bubble. I think for the first ability I would choose the shotgun because I used Gibraltar as a front liner, Newcastle is way better if you're wanting to be some type of protector because he doesn't have the movement penalty that Gibraltar does and once your bubble is up, everyone's pushing you anyways. With the baby bubble you defend it more effectively and they have to get a lot closer before they can start doing damage to you while you are rezing. So the increased health on rez mixed with baby bubble seems like a hell of a play.

actually I wouldn't discount Rampart's amped reload ability, it's equivalent to the reload speed boost given by Balistic's ultimate. we're talking about a key feature of somebody's ult tacked onto a tactical with multiple charges. it's definitely going to make her walls more useful for teams who like using them. 👍

19:16 What does "calling out" mean? Is it like a satellite beacon ping? Is it all squads on the map or just in 200m area? It it like ashe deathbox passive? Or is it more general like a mirage bamboozle in the "general area"? Or is it not a ping at all; does the character just speak about nearby teams? There has not been one content creator so far to show off this ability so far or explain it in detail. Rev also has it too but it's slightly more vague in his description.

I'm glad apex is doing something new and interesting for the game, perks being tied to armor great no more armor loot on ground(no more streamer loot) great armor swaping with lower armor is less punishing, since it just adds the shield to you're personal armor. ranked finally being ranked mmr made ranked worthless to play because if you're playing with masters and preds while being in gold than there's no point getting to that rank because You're already there.

The emp rang is a negative. You want to push off the damage of the emp. The increase range makes it so you have to stand farther back to not get hit by it. Give opponents more time to pop a batter

Can’t believe they did nothing at all to make Newcastle fun. He needed something like Killer Handling. Protection from 15 more bullets on the mobile shield while getting team shot and fuse tac’d is nothing. He is Crypto now. I was excited for the new season but now that my main has been left in the dust like idek. I’m hoping I get in the mood to play a different character but I don’t see that rn. I was excited for Newcastle to be electrified. Why didn’t they do anything for him? I don’t understand. His pick rate was already garbage. Now it’ll be worse just watch the #’s next season.

as a newcastle main for ranked, i really like what they did with him, his shield isnt a paper wall anymore, and he can gold knock rez a teamate to basically full hp. the electric stun on the ult for 2 minutes is insane especially if you have it late game and people try and push you through it. the shield sprint speed couldve totally been something better tho in my opinion

If you’ve ever watched nicewigg, in his review of the perk changes he was wigging out (pardon the pun) over the Newcastle buffs. He did say they weren’t flashy changes, but super powerful ones.

The notes for the skill tree are listed different, if I read it outloud incorrectly it was a mistake. Example: Horizon and catalyst ultimate are percentage based For others like loba and lifeline its based on seconds. I do hover over each of them so you can see the abilities. :)
