I feel like the other girls are exaggerating. Girl I’m sorry, after 10 years of marriage it’s not going to be like the first years even if you try. And while yes, maybe Tamara and Adrienne have a very healthy and lovely marriage, I’m pretty sure they know exactly what was meant in the topic, they just don’t like to admit that it happens because people might think oh so their marriages are not like they always paint them in the show...

Some of y’all are so annoying, y’all are not accustomed to healthy relationships with happy people who actually enjoy their mate, some people get Lazy and not try to do special or sweet things. That’s what the girls are talking about, I feel like my marriage is similar to that of Tamera and Ade. And I’m constantly happy about that. I completely understand what Jeannie was saying! Loni too was being realistic. It’s not the love that changes but the EXTENT of the things that happened during the honeymoon phase will 100% shift. Adrienne is still relatively fresh into her marriage and although the message her husband sent was cute and thoughtful, things have 100% scaled back down to what they were previously like at the beginning.

I totally get what Jeannie is saying. I think it is not fair to call different ways of showing love "lazy". As long as that person is giving you all that they can, that should be enough to appreciate and get you through the different seasons. You don't always need grand gestures to know someone is there for you.

My parents have been married for 35 years... they love each other but my mom Loves when my dad goes on a fishing trips and poker game nights & my dad loves when my mom going shopping/girl trips or whatever. Lol 😂 space is needed because after a long time,y’all get on each others nerves but protect each other ❤️

Understand that 100% but at the end of the day it takes work for a relationship you cannot be lazy and expect things to be great. A wise person told me comfort and growth or not in the same sentence, at times in a marriage no I’m not married I’m guessing you have to be sacrificial and compromise and if that means being uncomfortable there’s only room for growth. Try to stay positive don’t have such a negative outlook on life.

Honestly, I’m tired of the way people try to hold themselves up to unrealistic circumstances and standards in marriage... there’s a difference between being in a honeymoon phase and then being in love with your partner... because being in the honeymoon phase sets up in a person’s mind when they hear that that like “ you gotta work ten times harder to make sure that love stays alive “ and if anything... the love shouldn’t go away when the “ phase “ stops... the love just needs to evolve you don’t always need to do the same things to show someone you see them , you love them and they’ll always have you no matter what

I agree with Ade. My mom and dad have been married for 30 years and every single morning before he goes to work, he makes sure to pack her lunch and leaves her a note 📝. He’s now retired and he still wakes up even tho he does t work but he packs her lunch and leaves her a note!!

There is absolutely a honeymoon stage. Once you have a career or a busy job and kids, you don't have the same amount of time. You can't go out every night or just up and go somewhere. It doesn't mean you don't love each other; it just means you know they love you even if they can't just do all the same things.

Relationships evolve and that’s okay. We’re all different. But when there’s love you will know it and feel it. Married 18 years (with small health issues) with 2 kids (16 and 12). I know we love each other and we show it. But things aren’t the same as when we were recently married with no kids. And we’re okay with that. We do our best to show each other love. Mutual understanding and communication is key. You do you! ❤️

Oh yes, things change! Not necessarily in a bad way... things just get real lol. My husband and I got married and had three kids almost immediately 🤣. So not only did we have to still learn each other, but we had to learn how to count on each and parent these kids together lol. Responsibilities come in, circumstances change, new challenges.... but just remember to keep the love alive ❤

Marriage isn't meant to stay in a honeymoon stage and that's a good thing. Marriage is to grow and feel comfortable with each other.... You go to flowers and romantic gestures to taking care if each other when you're sick or having a bad day, making sure the other ate and both people taking care of the other needs before themselves yourself. It grows deeper and mature.
