Full Glitter Nail using a Dual Form - No Filing Needed - Easy Tutorial

Hi guys,
In this video I show you how to do a full glitter nail using Topits. This technique is a SUPER easy hack that is great for professionals and beginners alike!
Using glitter on a nail usually means that you have to cap it with Clear, with this system I don't have to do that. Why? I hear you ask. Well it's because when you use Dual Forms it means that there's absolutely no filing required at all, you heard me right NO FILING!
Usually when you apply acrylic, no matter how neat or careful you are, you're always going to need to file to perfect that shape and then the filing can buff the colour of the glitter away. With this method all the pesky filing has been eradicated, the only thing you need to do is give it a little buff over so the top coat will adhere!
Like I've mentioned in the previous videos dual forms are not tips. They may look an awful lot like tips, but they aren't. So don't try to do this with your regular tips because they will melt and stick to the acrylic!
Dual Forms are also the perfect thing to use on someone who has sore hands like me as they reduce the time you're touching them and there's no filing to irritate them :)
Forgive me if you've already seen the previous video but I repeat the technique to make sure everyone caught all the steps and my little tips and tricks. Anyways you get to see glitter and sparkle in this video so I am very excited about that!!

Not at all. If you prep the nails properly and put it on while the acrylic is still wet, yet SLIGHTLY dry, they will last as long as a regular set. I’ve had mine last up to 2 months before I took them off and I still had no lifting. It’s such an easy way to do nails. Especially on yourself. I’ve been doing this for years!

Actually, a tutorial on how to do a natural nail men's manicure is a great idea! Men (especially executives) like to have nice looking hands, too. My grandmother actually met my grandfather over a manicure table back in 1941. Just remember, when you get to the hand and arm massage portion of the manicure that men generally like their massages with very FIRM pressure. I would try to double the firmness used on most of my women clients. Men don't (generally) like flowery scented lotions and cuticle oil. Perhaps a citrus or mango lotion? Or maybe there's something more masculine on the market like a sandalwood scented lotion?

Have a couple of questions. 1. Does the acrylic adhere to the nail just as it would applying with a brush? 2. Do they grow out like a regular sculptured or tipped nail and how do you do a fill? 3. Are they as durable and long lasting as sculptured/tipped nails. and finally... 4. Do you have to be a licensed tech to buy the dual forms? rmontoya888 hey i'm not Kirsty but i thought i'd help. I've been using these dual forms for a year now (im not licensed so yes you can get them if youre not a licensed nail tech) and these are just like a normal sculpted acrylic nail. They adhere just fine. They grow out like regular acrylics, except that the cuticle area is more noticable when they grow out, i dont know about doing a fill though. They last and hold up just like a normal nail if you prep your nails well. I'd say the main differences ate that the apex and form of the nail arent as defined as it would be if you sculpt it, but i haven't had any breaks or lifting yet. Also you cant really shape the nail with the forms, that's more of a filing job. Hope that helped!

rmontoya888 ok, I'm passing on my wisdom: 1 - I used to have massive lifting in the beginning. Prep must be flawless and what really solved my problem was laying a thin coat of acrylic on the nail first and then laying the dual form 2 - yes. To fill you file the thickness down and go over with a layer in the dual form. It quite easy. 3 - if aplication is good, yes. 4 - no, and there are also different types of forms all for about 10usd a set. Ebay/aliexpress are good options. I suggest you take a look at the # dualform and acrylicdualform on Instagram.

I use a cuticle pusher underneath to smooth out the inside spillage! Super easy, usually never need my e-file. I just dip my pusher in the monomer so it doesn’t stick on the acrylic and glide it along the inside then smooth it out slightly with my brush. Btw you saved me with the sizing tip! ❤️

That is almost the same color I have been wearing on my nails since before Thanksgiving. I've fallen in love with it and have just been reappling it over and over. I bought a set that had these forms in it on sale at my local beauty supply and i never knew what they were for. I bought it for a few bucks because it had different kinds of nail glitters and shell pieces and flowers meant to be encapsulated in the acrylic in the kit. That looks so simple. I complicate doing my nails so much. this would simplify everything.

Kirsti, I love your bubbly personality and your videos! I had an idea that I wanted to share with you. Consider putting the labels on the side or top of your containers. If your brand logo is on the cover, put a clear label on the side so you won't have an accidental spill, flipping it over to see the name of the contents. :) I have done this and it solved that same problem for me. :)
