Looks like a fun competition unfortunately many of the reps were not at standard… As an example arms on thrusters are not locked out….same on many of the ring muscle ups…but who cares right?? 😜
@UnitedGridLeague2 жыл бұрын
Standards are definitely important to us. Most of the time bad reps are caught and taken away. That said, just like any sport, there will be controversial reps. The angle and distance of a camera vantage point is very different than in-person perspective a few feet away... for better or worse. We invest a ton in quality refereeing and will continue to so that we can improve to the best as humanly possible given our circumstances.
@apeekintime2 жыл бұрын
Cross fit doesn't really care about 'standard'. It's a sport that specializes in bad form and bastardization of movements. For example in CF they BOUNCE the bar off the ground when reping most movements. The race nature of CF events leads to me abuse on their body. They abuse the hell out of their shoulders, wrists, knees, and hips but that's their choice. Kind of stupid because in my opinion - who care about being good at bad form when you can't walk without pain after 40. All that to achieve mediocre levels of strength - the jack of all trades of the fitness world - Okay at rowing (but bad form), decent cardio (but nothing compared to a runner/etc), okay strength (but very weak compared to powerlifters of equal body weight).
@dvsn232 жыл бұрын
@@apeekintime Yes there is a lot of unnecessary stress put on joints and ligaments with this form.
@Chrontard2 жыл бұрын
ye i have no idea how this judging even works? like they just count reps no matter how they look like or if they are locked out ? wtf

What i have realised with this sport is once u start slow n u behind, its over for u
@UnitedGridLeague2 жыл бұрын
It can be difficult to come back from being behind but it does happen. A strong start is a big advantage for sure.
