Having a smoother progression > making it an annoying chore and making people waste their time and want to end it. It's not about making it easy to get to the best cars and easy to get rare things like gold bars and then lose interest, its for getting people to like your game, spread the word and keep playing because it's fun. Right now its fun but make it slightly more inconvenient and less fun to progress, and people will just not play and others will quit earlier.
