Exactly... Also, for the 1st episode, the last challenge of the female pianist was cut off too. Nevertheless, thx for uploading all these vids. The only probs were these 2 cut-offs and the video quality. Otherwise, great content.
This is too bad.... I don't know why that child will get eliminated? 120 nos to memorize only those red, this is just way too easy comparing with 100 items price memorizing. 120 bridge is way too easy. I can't understand why.... Especially it is all sort for 120 numbers, and that child items are absolutely randomized. I don't see the 120 numbers difficulty at all. He shouldn't have 8 points of difficulty.

I think that's because he did perform well with his immediate memory. Actually immediate memory is the hardest content among all world memory competitions since it requires less memory time and no repeated memorizing process is allowed . The child has more time for memorizing items/prices and the calculation does not really take any memory. A lot of ppl can do such kind of calculation after mental abacus training.

In my honest opinion, after I watch the contestant from Spain, I start to realize why they choose this boy. It is far more likely they wanna choose someone almost similar of ages and type of memorization. If you understand how break it up works, this 120 numbers is definitely too easy. For instance, he have RED and GREEN, that means 120/2 equals to 60. Then he have 4 in a row of same colors, it means the maximum of number he need to memorize is only 4. Hence, he have an average of less than 20 numbers to memorize between 1-4. Let's say it start with 2 green 3 red, that means he just take the 2 and 3 to memorize 5 number. He doesn't needs to remember what are those 5 numbers actual figures, colors already represent the figures.

Well, I haven't watched the match with Spain yet. idk probably they did mean it that way. i dont quite get ur explanation. even though he breaks the bridge up by colors he still has to remember 25-60 numbers ranking from 1to 4. plus it takes time to transfer visual info into numbers. still amazing within that short time. Anyway, I do think his father's project is way harder than his.I mean...gosh how can u identify different eggs?! round and yellow, they all look the same to me,lol

What I mean is he doesn't need to remember the figures on the staircase at all. He just need to remember the 1st colors of the stairs, then everything will be fine. He need to remember for instance 3 steps is green, then 1 red, then 4 green, then 2 red. That means he just need to remember 3, 1, 4, 2, start with green, that's all. He doesn't need to memorize the exact figure on this 10 steps. That means after 1,2,3, then skip 4, forward 5, 6, 7, 8, then skip 9 and 10. Hence, he just need to repeat this 4 figures. So it is not difficult at all even on 60 secs. It is not bad but the difficulties doesn't worth so much point if compare with his father or others competitors.

Honestly I kind of agree with you, but he still has to remember which ones are red (like he has to say "no 67, green"). And plus, that child had long time for him to remember those prices and both ablities should be able to be trained. Remembering a sequence of 120 numbers in 39 second is still pretty amazing compared to the child's price remembering. Also, children has less life experiences so you see how the children all cried when they were eliminated. If they went to compete with other countries and lost, it wont look good on China in a sense if their competitor cries. 9 is a bit too young for international competition on tv..
