As a Thorns season ticket holder from their 2nd year, this counts among one of my favorite games to date. The team needed a win, and I wanted to see one more Sincy Sinker. Like everyone else here in Portland, I’m going to miss her calm and steady presence so much. 😢 Legend!

3:41 Moultrie should have assisteded to Sinclair instead of selfishly taking the shot. In fact, Moultrie takes way too many ill-advised shots that have zero chance of getting in.

-Same at 5:07. She should play one touch of the ball and make the pass in the call of Linnehan . She made a good oriented control but since she didn't raise her head when they got the ball back, to look at where the players were, she didn't know where Payton Linnehan was. And this isn't the first time she's stubbornly wanted to score. She plays number 10, she is supposed to make this pass. I think she wants to gain confidence and prove herself indispensable but she wastes goal scoring opportunities. She risks losing the confidence of the locker room / team mate. -At 3:41 the only thing I find positive is that she uses her left foot to roll her strike. It shows that she has a good football IQ but she lacks realism.

Off topic, but I really don’t understand how Sophia Smith isn’t the highest rated women’s footballer in the world. You can’t convince me otherwise. Almost a goal a game at club level and internationally

Great game by the Thorns!! 👍 I wasn't too sure how this was gonna turn out because awhile back the Thorns weren't doing too good and had dropped in the standings and the fact that the Pride are on the top of the standings made me think they were gonna win, but it appears I was wrong. BTW, is Sophia Smith out on an injury? -- Didn't see her in this game.

The old Orlando team showed up to play today. Also, they threw away the chance to be the first team to go undefeated all the way; they could have been remembered for it, what a pity!

@@clarenceenga-enga2700The last 4 champions AND last 4 shield winners of the NWSL have all been different teams. Plus Orlando has never won a shield or championship. No team has ever gone unfefeated either.

They were resting their starters. They have earned the right to and it's the smart thing to do leading up to the playoffs. Going undefeated means nothing compared to winning the NWSL championship, and resting starters when you can will help them go all the way.
