After Becky can't make it to Stephanie's first mother-daughter sleepover, Joey's decides to take her place. Even though he had good intentions, they both realize that he just can't do everything mothers and daughters can do-like winning a race in high heels!

I appreciate your compliment young lady, but he should realize that showing up as the only “guy” at the events that are only for “mothers and daughters”, such as slumber parties, is very illegal. He could’ve ended up in jail over that. One of the females could’ve called the cops on him. Because that same result happened when he and Danny showed up at the only 2 guys at the female fraternity reunion. And even worse, it also seems that Danny and Jesse took Joey’s side on his idea of accompanying Stephanie to that slumber party just because Becky failed to attend it. This episode was so flipping emotional, it really emphasised the issue the kids faced every single day without their mother. The head mother was very understandable and I liked how she was considerate to the situation that Stephanie was in as opposed to those bratty and selfish honeybee girls who didn't care. Joey & Steph always had a connection, D.J & Danny had a connection & Michelle & Jesse had their connection, it was so nice to see Joey humiliate himself for the sake of Stephanie's feelings. Joey & the head mother should have gone out.

Joey showed so much love towards Stephanie in this episode. Not many grown men would feel comfortable enough to attend an all girl’s mother-daughter slumber party and do all the girly things they were doing here. He really is dedicated and loves those girls a lot. I feel like this episode would really fit in well to the times now, based on all the different kinds of families there are today. Little girls who have two fathers, or maybe gay parents, probably would really appreciate watching this too. It sort of reminds me a little bit of Lilly on Modern Family. Mitch & Cam love her dearly and would do ANYTHING for her. That’s what family is all about, not what it looks like. I felt bad for Stephanie when she understandably walked out of the party all upset. It must have really been hard to feel so different from the other girls at that age and like you did not fit in. But after talking with D.J., I’m glad she realized how she has a family who loves her so much, even if her mom is not around. I think it made her appreciate Joey even more for doing what he did for her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This reminded me of when I got invited to a friend’s hangout. I was the only guy, and they were great at making me feel included. I spent the day seeing it as “friends hanging out” instead of “guy hangs out with girls”. Then they decided to do a sleepover and said it’d be fun but I can’t stay and I was reminded once again. The part that made me chuckle was that I think the girl that said I couldn’t stay also said before that guys shouldn’t be sexist and should treat everyone the same. Then kicked me out for being a guy. No hard feelings because I’d prefer my friends to be comfortable anyways without awkwardness I must have provided. I just thought it was kind of funny.

You know this used to be one of my favorite full house episodes when I was younger but then as I got older, there are two things that don't make sense to me. Wouldn't the honey bees and their leader know that Stephanie doesn't have a mom? Poor planning here. And second of all, I feel like in this episode, they make it seem like she's the only girl in San francisco without a mom. There are thousands of kids without a mom or a dad. You would expect the writers to add at least another honey bee girl in the episode that's also going through the same thing. I know it's a show but I couldn't help but notice these things.

In a way, I know how Stephanie feels, but in a masculine way. To clarify, my dad left my mom after I was conceived at a party. At age 8, I asked her if my older sister's dad (who lived hours away) could be my dad. Naïve, I know. He agreed and I started calling him dad, but stopped at 16. It's been handshakes and casual chats since (when I very rarely saw him). At my sister's wedding, I feel he interacted with me a bit too much: seeing who's taller when I casually mentioned my height, fist-bumping me, remarking how good the food looked, praising my heart and apologetic anxiety about possibly hurting someone (when I referenced my lack of filter). He said I doubted myself (I don't remember why/how) and when I denied it and said I just don't like to sound conceited, he said I should see it as confidence and that I was amazing. I'm kinda awkward now. I'm wondering...could he have been patronizing me? Just being nice. Trying to "force" himself to see my good qualities, since I'd "forced" him to be my dad? For example, I remember when I reunited with him at 16, and he said my voice was low and I was "now a man." Somehow I think that was a bit patronizing. Thoughts?

This episode reminds me of how and my niece used to be really close until she was 12. Then me and my mom lost hiuse we were staying in. So then I got all sad I didnt get to see my niece as much cuz I was almost homeless. So I started coming over to her house to try and spend time with her, but she started getting pissed that I would come around when her girlfriends were around even though she never communicated with me and let me know when they weren't around. We haven't been close since. She just wants to be with her brother and her cousin and girlfriends and boyfriend. Suddenly I'm too old for her, and I'm only in 30s.
