Just a suggestion maybe purchase loft beds for the kids. This is what we used with our 5 kids and it freed up floor space. I love the new house.

I know the new place is smaller than you're used to but you are lucky to have that large garage for storage--maybe seasonal items and clothes. Also, the pantry will be a big help to keep your kitchen tidy. When we downsized, I got rid of 30 years worth of stuff and my overall emotion was relief and a huge sense of freedom, almost like I had been carrying everything myself. Best of luck.

Fishing nets for hanging the stuffed animals. They don’t play with all of them so hang them from the ceiling on a slant to a wall for the kids to get to their favorites. Use a good anchor to mount it. My kid decided to swing from it and pulled it all off. The reset was with drywall anchors … lol

I've got a little suggestion for the bathroom situation. There were five of us growing up with one bathroom and there was always someone in there! For kids as young as yours, I would suggest getting a kitchen timer and teaching them that they have fifteen minutes to get their bath and brush their teeth. Even ten minutes should be adequate. It will cut down on the wasting time and goofing around in the bathroom as all kids are apt to do. Plus it's a learning opportunity for time management. We did this when our kids were little and it worked really well.

You should start taking all the chock poo over to your new garden to get it ready for next season, plant your garlic so it starts growing next summer. Becky says to use big cloves, the bigger the clove the bigger the head you’ll get.

It’s great you had the overlap of moving in. We had a 6 week closing. We had an overlap too. But we didn’t pack up until the buyers conditions dropped. We had 3 weeks to pack up. It was terrible. I was newly pregnant and moving day I wasn’t feeling good with pregnancy sickness and my hubby had the flu. Thank god we had movers. It was a nightmare.

You know chicklett, if you have a damaged or just old dresser, what you do Carolina is the dresser on its back, have your Honey ho ho's take the front off the drawers fill them up with soil and plant veggies or flowers. You can also do what is call a no digging garden. What you do is lay down a bunch of cardboard, now it can't be the shiney kind it definitely effects the growth of the garden it wont bloom. You then lay down the black garden cloth, after that you place the potting soil on top of that, a couple of inches in thickness and then you use starters of whatever you want to plant for food to eat. After that you water it, and watch it take off. Its a good way to garden without weeding.

I think the new house looks great! Just in case you've never had a garbage disposal before...don't throw everything down it. No grease, no potato peels, avoid pasta too. You probably know this, but you would be surprised how many people don't and just throw everything down it. It causes a lot of problems with clogged drains and such.

Also no coffee grounds, egg shells or Pineapple. Clogged mine good with pineapple once and potato peels another. Now I only use it for limited left overs and plate scrapings

And ALWAYS have the water running full blast when you turn the disposal on. Every home I’ve ever lived in had a disposal, but I really don’t use it except when I run it to get rid of the bits that go down the drain when I cook a meal or can!

When baking in the air fryer, I’ve found the top cooks too fast, so I cover with foil, and then just uncover to last few minutes to crisp up the topping.

if you have a lot of small stuff animals use one of those plastic roll up pocket holders that hang on the back of the door. saves room, kids can move the stuffed animals around as they like, and for some kids, the stuff animals are "guarding" the door for them

The wood platform with ramp looked like they had a storage building there the ramp for mower or tractor to get in. And the taro for extra stuff to store outdoors. Also try to get an FHA loan to get a house or habitat. House payments are cheaper than rent

It's a lovely new home. There is plenty of storage space. It's bigger than my house, especially the living space. I don't have three kids, mind you lol. Your children are lovely. All the children seem very excited about their new room. Built-in wardrobes are fantastic. Beds, desks, and toy boxes limit it it one per child. Hanging everything up can help with floor space in the bedroom. You could add a second rod to the boys built-in so they have a rod each if needed. We have two storage boxes each. One with pj, undies, bras, and the other with shorts. They are at the bottom of the built-ins.. You will definitely make it work for your family. There is no folding in my method, lol. I found drawers only break, and kids messed them up. So I gave up, lol..
