This video is every poker player at some point. We've all had the "play good and run bad" with the "play bad and run good" combo. Nights like these really make you question your process but from what I can tell (long time watcher) you have a pretty strong mental. Appreciate the uploads even when you're running bad. Good luck in the next one!

Sometimes I get frustrated with the crazy success, luck box hands, *binks* and uncanny reads displayed by the majority of vloggers. This sit down looks a lot more like what I run into, albeit with much smaller stakes! Thanks for keeping it real once in awhile. Better luck next session. Thanks for the good content. Keep it going M 😎👍

Great content, as usual. I sometimes wonder if you push yourself too much into high stakes, not sure how many 150k buy-ins that run badly you can absorb. I’d gladly watch 2/5 or 5/10, with occasional higher stakes :)

I live in Hermosa and you should check it out. It's a younger vibe than Manhattan and a step down in housing costs. The three beach cities pretty much make up one community. My wife and I used to judge our weekends on if we needed to actually get in our cars between Friday after work and Monday morning. You can get anywhere by walking or bike, and don't have to deal with parking.
@notjoking77732 жыл бұрын
You played the Q 9 spades hand perfectly. You played it textbook Doyle Brunson book. Which is still the best way to play poker in my opinion. You had so many outs and just got unlucky they didn't come.. whereas Wes had just one of a few hands that would actually call there so you were unlucky to just not scoop the pot on the turn. Keep playing like that though and you will win in the long run. People will think your lucky, but you are just playing the odds the right way.
@2020-q1p2 жыл бұрын
I don't think Wes is folding any ace to that turn bet, and he could actually induce a bluff on the river.

im not sure, but at 5:00, what fold equity % do you think you have vs Wesley who has position on you? because it seems rather small. Also, same hand, with the all in on the turn, what do you want to fold out in Wesleys range that you dont beat here? again, it seems super small too (usually A4-A5s or AT AJ? if you dont get called you very much were good anyway, and if you do, your behind with usually around 25-30% equity.

Sat down at a table last Friday, had A5 suited in the big blind I raised and only got called by two players. Flop was 5 5 7 I bet medium which only the cut off calls. Turn is a jack. Im not concrened since it completes a rainbow. I bet medium again to set up a river jam. River is an 8. The pot is close to about 450. I check because it does bring in the straight but I don't expect him to have 9 10 unless it was 9 10 suited. He bets big about 4/5 pot. I think about it for a while and I think he may have some sort five so I call. He shows 8 5 for the rivered boat. I just left the table after that.

How I play a suited Ace depends a little bit on how deep the stacks are. If it is a super deep game like this one, I would not squeeze as often with a suited ace, as I am looking for that dream spot of making an ace high flush against a lower flush, so I really want to keep as many people in as possible preflop. But if the game is more short stacked, yes a suited ace is great to squeeze with and deny equity from the limpers.
