Replying to this comment but also the one from @Keionjg. When blood comes in contact with any layer of skin, it should have a high chance of turning into "scab" or something similar, which just sticks to skin and itself. Slowly, an outer layer of skin can also grow overtop of it.

Maybe you can make blood clot when it contacts skin. Assuming there's a layer of meat between the skin and blood, the only way it'd contact the skin is if there's damage. The major issue with this is that the blood will just continually clot infinitely, which is why maybe a combination of contact and a temperature threshold could work.

For the dead cells, they can have a ctype saying what tissue they where before they got killed, and if there is more than 60 o2, and a white cell is gonna heal it. Then it turns back into what it was. (Except bacteria, tumor, ect.)

If you are having white blood cells be the ones to help remove dead tissue you might want to add a "waste" system where they replace the DT with empty or blood and thier waste counter goes up by one. You could then have kidney to remove waste from them and release the DT from the body. I imagine it like the reverse of lung.

Ooh i have an idea for scabs so you could add platelets that flow through the blood and maybe if they go without touching blood for a set amount of time they solidify Also a way the brain could be more useful would be if lungs can only function if they have an electrical current flowing through them (simulating the brain telling the lungs to breathe)

Hey Spike Viper! Love the progress you have been making on the mod so far, I think you are doing a great job. One thing though, it would be interesting if you could make it so that oxygen transfers through blood quicker so that when you start the worm organism out you dont have to give it oxygen manually so that it doesn't die.

You could reduce the rate bacteria reproduces by half when it only has oxygen. Then allow it to reproduce at the same speed when it only has access to dead tissue. It would only be able to grow at full speed when it has access to both. This would allow infections to be cured more easily early and allow them to snowball more dangerously if they are uncontested and get access to both the dead tissue and oxygen. Also, if bacteria can eat dead tissue, they should be able to get a foothold on the skin after a burn.

Try adding probiotics. They could spawn from epidermis or in stomachs if you want to put that in. It may be easier to just add tissues for different stuff.
