@neerajnongmaithem39225 күн бұрын
Nah he didn't, his scores means nothing as it didn't contribute to his team winning, ohtani's clutch double in game 1 lead to mookie scoring and the game going to 10th innings, without that Yankees win 2-1. Also his walk in 1st innings, lead to freedie hitting a 2 run HR, setting the tone for game 3 early on. Also the clutch at bat today of not getting out lead to mookie coming in to score a sac fly for game lead. Not all at bats are equal, ohtani has definitely underperformed but it's still better then what judge did the entire postseason. I still haven't mention the horrendous 1/1000 error that he committed today. @@brostrummer4690

The killer mistake was when Cole the pitcher did not run to first and cover on the routine ground ball. That out would have ended the inning with the Yankees still up. Cole actually pitched a great game but its the world series you have to run and cover first base as soon as you see the ground ball on that side. All the other errors added up but they did not kill the Yankees like that mistake did.
@kellykarcher717925 күн бұрын
If the ball didn't spin away from 1st base, Rizzo easily makes the play. But since it had so much spin, Rizzo couldn't field it and run to first in a timely manner. Cole should've been covering 1st regardless...

Boys and girls that is why you always run out to first no matter what. Imagine if Mookie pulled up and didn't run it out. The inning ends with Cole pitching a shut out. Granted the Yankees did everything in their power to lose this game but that one play started it all. This is why Mookie's a Hall of Famer and is the second iteration of the Bambino curse for the Red Sox. That's now 2 championships to none since he was traded.
