David, thanks for posting! After 5 videos, you are the only thoughrough one actually showing electrical connections, and programming the keypad etc etc. Thanks alot, will be installing mine today. One thing extra that would help, is to tell viewers how many wires and what size to run for the infrated safety sensors (I guess you didn't install them, mine came w/ a light which is easy to figure, and 2 infrated sensors one has 4 wires the other 2 I think). thanks again.

Nice of you to make the video. However, the adjusting rod at 6:33 installs horzontailly not vertically. The purpose of the device is it allows the owner to adjust the tension/slack in the chain as time goes on.

Thanks for the video, gave me some good information. I installed my unit, took me a couple of days. I was taking my time, but I also had to remove the old 19 year old Eagle 1000; I did not want to spend the $1800 so I bought this CO-Z. If anyone asked me if they can install it themselves, I would say yes if they are 1. Handy 2. Have all the necessary tools. Regarding the necessary tools, I had to use my grinder to custom make brackets for the magnets. I used a chain link remover because the chains that came with the unit were too small; I used my old one but had to shorten it some. I used my 3/8 powerful drill to drill down into the concrete. I had all the wrenches to use for the various nuts. I had special drill bits to drill into the gate rods, the magnate brackets I customized. So, unless you are handy type and have all the necessary tools I would hire some help to install it.

This video is exactly what I needed to help figure out this gate opener. I wanted to use HomeLink and found out that the built-in transmitter will not work and needs another 'homelink bridge' adapter. FYI for those that are looking to use this with homelink

This video has been so helpful thank you so much. My motor is very similar on the outside but the circuit board on the inside is exactly the same. I was having trouble with the dip switches. I now know what they mean. Thank you. Picked up lots of other great tips too 👍

My 1st unit I installed was 3 years ago. They have improved the circuit board connections greatly, like putting in the reverse motor switch, and the push button connections.

Thanks for the Video. Does it come with a transformer? How did you wire the transformer to the cable that goes to the recepticle. The transformer I was looking at does not have ground connection . I would be using a 12-2 romex with TOPENS DPS180-U Waterproof AC 110V-240V to DC 24V Power Supplier. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I installed two motors front n back of the hse (100’ ) synced two remotes to each motor . Why do both motors open at the same time if remotes were synced to each motor ?

Go in to each board and hold the learn button down for about 30 seconds and clear all the remotes. Then hit the learn button, and the big button for your primary gate on all remotes. Go to the 2nd control board and do the same except use the small button for your second gate. I got this done for 4 remotes. Your remotes are probably on the same big button so they use the same frequency. Each button has a different frequency so in effect, you could operate 4 gates with one remote. Nobody tells you this but I've spent some time in electronics while working for Pacific Missile Range.

I would assume so. think of key pads and remote openers as just devices that send out a signals. the gate opener can remember many signal devices . also i forgot to mention that the 1 key pad can open 2 different gates or the same gate with 2 different codes. this is helpful if you have renters because you always have the master code and can change the 2nd code if renters change.

You probably have a timer for it to close after a few seconds and your reverse switch might be on the wrong position. So when your gate is close, your motor thinks thats its actually open and then tries to close it but ends up opening it instead. Try checking your reverse switch. If you pause the video at 5:34 you can see the reverse switch on the bottom right side of the screen. To the left of the white relay under the brown and yellow with green line cables.

Mine runs on 110v electricity which is 1 hot, 1 natural, 1 ground wire. If your electrician is trying to run it on 220v electricity make sure that your machine can take it. Mine did not and the motor burned making me buy another. The colors dont make a difference but the way you wire it does
