I really like the fact that the devs actually got someone with an Irish accent to play Norman this time. He's always mentioned as an Irish but, no hate for the og voice actor I love his voice as well, having an actual Irish-sounding actor sounds more authentic, not to mention damn good voice acting as well.

Maybe unpopular but Tommy Angelo is the best character in the Mafia series. Vito’s story is iconic but Tommy’s is by far my favorite.

Tommy's story is a good story telling that revolves around the theme of Family, friendship, and loyalty while also reminding us audience the harsh reality of that life. While Vitto's story, although shows him being family focused is more about his survival and struggle to rise in that life.

I always started to think he knew his time was coming. Him and his family were moved with different identities so the moment vito said Mr Angelo he knew that his time was up.

Upon mentioning his name he knew that the time had come because, after the trial as part of the deal with Norman, he and his family were given a new identity to hide and start a new life. He's already a fulfilled old man having a peaceful family life. He resigned himself to his fate knowing that the organization has no reason to go after his family upon his death.

Detective Norman deserves a credit for honoring his part of the deal and having Salieri and several of his surviving members arrested and convicted of their crimes which would've been a difficult battle because Norman himself claimed that he cannot trust many of his fellow police officers and he can only trust few which means many policemen are under Salieri's payroll. Detective Norman probably got a promotion or became a highly decorated police officer after this because he's the policeman who put a powerful mafia don in prison and he also got the credit for solving Morello's murder. Even if he didn't get these rewards, Salieri is still his legacy, like Tommy said. It is a powerful legacy he'll be leaving.

Back in highschool I've play both mafia 2 and 3 I like Vito and Joel for making everything look good as criminals NGL and Lincoln for been a badass with destroying a whole empire crime as well. When I was playing mafia 2 when Joel kill tommy I never knew that Tommy was important at all, as a joke I said he is the main protagonist of Mafia 1. Years later I came to find out that he is so I decided to play the game and let me tell ya, I felt so connected to Tommy much more than Vito and Lincoln combined... Tommy is the embodiment of been a regular guy becoming Gangster, his narrative of the things he's done and how it meant nothing it was purely beautiful and heartbreaking I sympathy with him more than With Vito. Tommy is by far the Most Gangster of all Mafia games even the way he talks and delivers his line when he's about to kill someone is better making Vito and Lincoln look like thugs just killing. Didn't deserve to die, or maybe it was meant to be so his story could have a better impact than the other 2

They cast the perfect VA for Detective Norman. The Irish accent, the visual design, the dialogue, the mo-cap work. Its exceptional. I absolutely love this line from him: "You dry your tears with a wad o' hundreds, do ya?" The delivery dripping with sarcasm always makes me laugh.

Like Planefan said, a Lupara, or a sawed off shotgun, was a special traditional way to silence a rat who broke the code of Omerta (silence). Those who broke said code would be sentenced to die by being shot with a Lupara. In the end, since Tommy broke his silence, he had to be killed with a Lupara specifically. He could’ve been killed in any other way, but Salieri’s dying wish was that they used a Lupara, per old Sicilian tradition.

Because hitman (later revealed to be Joe) had a Lupara in original 2002 version. Joe had pump action in Mafia 2 because it was only shotgun available in the game. It was Mafia 2 which broke the consistency, not Mafia DE

Tommy realized from Norman’s information about a judge that apparently made a deal with salieri which pissed morello off since the judge he must of already been working with him. That must of led to morello getting Carlo to help him with an opportunity to kill Salieri (pepe’s restaurant shootout). I like that in the remake Norman has his own intel that Tommy didn’t know about that connected the dots to certain events

Tommy's story was the best. Idc about the Vito fanboy's and Mafia 3 was just trash because of the dragged out damage system. Tommy literally came from (taxi driver citizen, not knowing how guns or the mob works) to (Mob enforcer, one of the Don's best guys, famous race car driver). What did Vito and Lincoln do? *Get put in the army so that's why they are good with weapons, yeah I get it* but Tommy was just more gangster with it.

Tommy's story is way too heroic. How can a cab driver can do all of this? In original he was more subtle. Not this confident. Even though he was a "natural" like Paulie said in original, the events he overcame are still too Hollywood-ish. I didn't play the 2nd and 3rd games but i would like to play with a less powerful, realistic character. Tommy over did.

Tommy was kind of forced into the life meanwhile Vito and Lincoln had a choice given the circumstances difference between the 3. Tommy was forced to drive sam and Paulie away. if he didn't he probably would have gotten clipped by them. It's just the fact that Morello didn't want to hear Tommy side the story and just wanted him dead. What would you do if two thugs just pulled you out of your cab and was threatening to end your life and you have the opportunity to run away? Meanwhile Vito couldn't get a job so he robbed stores with Joe and literally went to jail, twice if you don't count the fact that he made a choice to go to the army instead. But still when he got to go home for a while he should have just went home to his family and stayed out of that stuff with Joe, but he chose not to. Lincoln was lucky to be alive after that bullet got deflected by his skull and in the fact that father James saved him. Lincoln chooses to stay and get revenge for his family. And before y'all go Tommy had a choice to run to the police or something, did y'all see a cop car anywhere? Did y'all hear any cop sirens? No. Tommy already knew that he was in Little Italy because he knows the entire city better than anyone, he said it himself when chasing Morello. And the fact that his customer said that he wanted to go to Little Italy 21st Street. But still the fact that Tommy knew that salieri was going to help him since he got his men out of a jam was probably why he ran there and not to the police. Tommy said that the thugs ran his plates of the cab and tracked him down and on top of that he got fired from the cab company because the cab was involved in illegal business, hence the first mission in the game.
