So true, been a fan since 2000 and he was an inspiration to me, yet there’s very minimal stuff out there about him and his life and who he really is as a person

Literally the best Lyricist to ever rap.

I mean yea... If you don't put emphasis on the ability to portray a character in your music and be a charismatic personality, yes. There's a reason why "Ready 2 Die", "All eyez on me" or "The Marshall Mathers LP" are perceived as vastly more relevant, influential and prestigious than anything Chino XL ever dropped. Imagine a wrestler who is technically sound, maybe technically much better than John Cena or Batista - but he merely performs at regional wrestling events that are not even aired on TV, whereas John Cena and Batista headline WrestleMania. That's how I look at Chino XL.

I still can't believe Chino XL is no longer with us. He had a lot left in the tank. This doesn't make sense to me at all. Two artists he looked up to was LL Cool & Rakim and both showed him praise after he passed. 🙏🏻

To a large degree, millennials killed hip hop. I mean it’s called “millennial mumble rap” for fuck’s sake.

Might be a better idea not to comment since you just said you don’t know anything about him. Just making some wild assumptions without any information
