This is living history. The fact that people who witnessed the brutal slavery and European colonial rule are still alive today is a reminder of how recent these events were!! We thank these freedom fighters for their struggle against oppression, slavery, subjugation and colonialism!

this is what we should be learning in school. It pains me deeply that these stories of our history are not amplified as they should. We keep the names of white people on places like Thompson falls and Lake Victoria etc while we have heroes who we should be naming these places after. We forget a lot. RIP F.M Muthoni

Unfortunately the muzungu has not gone anywhere. They are still here in Nyanyuki. All they need is the order to recolonise us. When will the government realise that the muzungu army bases in Kenya are a national security threat? 🤔🤔🤔They pretend to train you but also consider this, they know your strengths and weaknesses. Plus they still consider you their colony. Look at all the land they still occupy. Their war cemetries are still here. State house was built by the mzungu. We as Kenyans are still sleeping.
@maumauchronicles4296 Жыл бұрын
We are still asleep. That is for sure. If we were awake, we would do a better job of identifying, pursuing and protecting our national interests.

Of most importance is knowing thy self and reclaiming our identity after that even if they are here or we go to their lands we will be free ... freedom is not just chasing people away the world is small problem is in the minds and hearts

Kiambu people were not in forest .... from the horses mouth
@maumauchronicles42968 ай бұрын
Do not spread cheap lies and perpetrate sectional hatreds. Kiambu people were in the forest and we have it on the authority of Mau Mau veterans. Kiambu people were right at at the heart of the struggle. Even Kiburi House, the HQ of Mau Mau was theirs. And Githunguri. And they were the ones fighting in Lari. And the killers of Chief Waruhiu, an incident that triggered the State of Emergency. It is best to see Mau Mau as an effort that combined the contributions of people from Gikuyu, Embu and Meru. Everyone did what they could and their collective effort solidified as Mau Mau.
