Brings back some memories ... I used to travel on this line between Acton Town and Hounslow West back in 1967/68 ... The line terminated there and I had to take a bus to travel on to Heathrow. I worked in Terminal 2 with SABENA Belgian Airlines ... Happy memories .

These "Full Journey" on the Underground are incredibly useful to people coming to London. You may calculate your journey time very accurately by a mathematical subtraction of start/finish times at the two relevant stations you are starting/finishing your journey. Once the whole network has been covered absolutely all journeys will be covered. I suggest a sequel series of changing lines at all stations so people can factor in the time it takes to switch to the next line.

There are many apps you can use that will let you know how long a journey will take, even with changing lines. Just add a few minutes to account for last minute delays and some stations having signs that take you the long way from one platform to another.

riveting video! I was on the edge of my seat as the train pulled into Piccadilly Circus around 44:00. I loved the gripping climax at 1:18:00 as the train hovers over the rooftops only to halt at Oakwood station, and of course the soft, falling denouement when the train gently stops at Cockfosters and lets people out. I honestly didn't know what was going to happen at the end! Would the train make it? Would it be overrun by bandits? So many possibilities in this brilliant film.

Things that I noticed had changed since the 1980s. The lift at Oakwood. The rusting rails between the tracks at Oakwood looks the same ones I saw. The train shed at Cockfosters I always was a grand station. Plsd to see it’s still there. Keith.

@X2K9 What is the proper tube etiquette if you board with suitcase and carry on bag? Should you put them under your seat - don't want to take up too much room yaknow.
@TrainBoy-qp3je8 жыл бұрын
It depends how big your suitcase/bag is? If it is a small one you can just put it in front of you when you are sitting down. If there are no seats then try to get one of the dedicated luggage areas which are located by all Doors (these are only on the Piccadilly and Jubilee lines. If your suitcase/bag. is bigger I would try to get a seat by the luggage areas by the double doors and put your luggage in the luggage area. If you have to stand just put your bag near you and keep hold of it so it does not go into other people. Under the seats it is all sealed up so you can't put your suitcase/bag under the seat. But if you are sitting down with your suitcase/bag in front of you then try not to take up there space. Always keep hold of your suitcase/bag or make sure you can see it at all times. Hope this helps!
