The Victoria Line starts from Walthamstow Central in North East London and terminates at Brixton in South London where the full journey only takes under 30 minutes.
The Victoria line used to use the 1967 stock and was the first stock to have Automatic Train Operation in them and 1967 stocks were in service untill from 2011 when they replaced by the 2009 stock. Despite the line being underground, the section between Seven Sisters and the depot at Northumberland Park is above ground and the line is quite fast is well.

Yeah. Its the tube line that its stations are spaced out in the tunnel although Jubilee line is the fastest deep tunnel tube line in the network

Why do some journeys take longer in one direction compared to another? Stockwell to Brixton seems to take about 15 seconds longer than Brixton to Stockwell, 1 min 50 secs compared to 1 min 35 secs. Also the final journey into Uxbridge always seems to take much longer than Uxbridge to Hillingdon. Same with KCSP to Farringdon and vice versa.

Brixton is, relatively, higher up than Stockwell. The trains will be going uphill from Stockwell to Brixton and downhill from Brixton to Stockwell. Thus the trains won't be able to accelerate as quickly, meaning the journey will take slightly longer.

Both are made by Bombardier, and at a very similar time, 2009 for V compared to 2010 for HC, M, C and D, so it makes sense why they'd sound similar
