They appear to have been the only ones ordering Allison MMCs with kickdown as they have 3 batches that are fuly unrestricted; these from the P13, U9 and H20 batch.

vLondon Transport reminds me of the Ctp batch,all of them unrestricted.Even tho they are dumped on slow routes,of course they have the same gearbox and engine...

​@@nate9457 no. kickdown is an optional extra that only some batches have and others do not have it. Allison MMCs come without kickdown as standard.

ADL seemed to start putting kickdown on their Allison E20Ds from around 66reg. The C10's 16 plate batch, whilst they fly when they're floored, don't have it. The W19's 66reg do seem to have it, as mentioned above, and newer Allison MMCs outside London also seem to have kickdown. Sod's law TfL put this stop-start rule into place at that time, leaving us stuck with a load of gutless Voith things instead.

@@gloriouswater538 Dont forget the 65 reg E200 on the 331, that has kickdown too. Are there actual examples of other E200MMCs outside of london having kickdown? I havent found any and most people seem to believe these dont have kickdown instead its just "allison using all rev ranges"

I thought the thumbnail was a Streetlite lol on the 484 and I see this route In Lewisham a lot. Do you think 484 is pointless I don’t think it is even though it’s a slower of 436 and 185.

No i definitely do not think the 484 is pointless, It gets really busy during the peaks and is busy in general so clearly a lot of people use it. Also they use it for the back roads it serves rather than going all the way from lewisham to camberwell (Although some people do apparently do this, I've counted a handful that have)

How much use are the 185 and 436 to people who live round the backstreets in Peckham Rye, Brockley and Ladywell? They need links to their nearest town centres and stations!
