I know my daughter loves my library of Omnis and trades! When I decided to change reading formats a few years ago, I gave my entire comic book collection to my son. After finding a comic ripped to shreds on his bedroom floor, I gave the collection to my daughter because she told me that she would actually read and take care of them. (He did apologize, and admitted that he just wasn't interested in comic books. So he wasn't devastated or hurt over what I did. Just thought that would be important to add.) As soon as she got them, she started reading them and hanging her favorite issues on her walls! She even used them for inspiration for her own artwork. (What's funny is that this is why I started collecting them. Wasn't until I finally read a "Wolverine" comic that I started collecting them for the writing.) Then one day I came home with the "Howard the Duck" Omnibus (my very first one) and she flipped her wig! She has even started a library of her own (with a whole lot of Manga hardcovers, and she even has the "Akira" box set).

Sure it looks like you have a lot of room now but it fills up quick. Getting rid of the stuff you dont absolutly love is smart. Helps create a collection you really love.

I remember at one point he was collecting EVERY Omnibus. That would be an insane task unless you started from the beginning! I also collect OHCs, so it wouldn't work for me.

I still think you should turn the shelves on the left into statue cases, you could have 3 rows and put 1/4 scales there, because you’re never going to fill all the shelves with books, but you could really do with more statue space.

Love the new basement and set-up you have going, Steve. Where are all your OHCs? There's so many good important ones that don't have Omnis. ASM 2014 Series Volumes 1 & 2, ASM 2015 Vols 1-3 plus Clone Conspiracy & Red Goblin, Superior Spider-Man Volumes 1-3, Avengers Standoff Attach on Pleasant Hill & Secret Empire, 2015 Secret Wars, Original Sin & Original Sin Companion, Death Of Wolverine, Inhuman, inhumanity, Infinity (2013), and also Thor by Jason Aaron OHC Volumes 3-5! I just listed off some of my favorites in my library. The Marvel VISIONARIES OHC line is super badass too. I'm slowly working on getting them all I have Romita Sr, Romita Jr, and Claremont currently.

There's a deluxe edition of COIE. Omnibus wouldn't be necessary because there's not a lot of other stuff besides the event.

Just saying, but technically the Doom Patrol by Byrne is an OHC. I have it too, but unlike Marvel, it not always obvious with DC what is an Omni and what's an OHC. I have the Crisis on Infinate Earth Deluxe OHC and the Jonah Hex OHC on the shelf with my DC Omnis, since they see the same size.
