Full Look Infill and Re-Design - Part 1 - Gel Polish, Metallics and Bling!

Hey guys
In this video, I'm going to teach you how to completely change a set of nails without taking them off, OMG! HOW AMAZING?
So the first thing that I'm going to do is push back the cuticles of my client and start taking off the stones with cuticle pliers. After doing this I am then going to use a round bit to exfoliate around the cuticle.
Andrea, however, comes every three weeks so her cuticles are AMAZING. I am then going to smooth out the cuticle section with a file.
Now that the cuticles are smooth we are going to wipe over with some acetone. You can also push the cuticles back whilst doing this. After this, we are going to prime and dehydrate the nails so that prepped for the new design.
We are going to fill the nails with warm beige and musical so that the next time Andrea has a fill she might want to go back to these vibrant colours so it's already there. We are also going to tidy up the nails free edge so that they are nice and smooth.
Finally, we are going to apply some gorgeous colours to the nails and completely change their look and yes, we are going to finish them off with a little bit of GLITTER! I LOVE GLITTER!

The fact that your client came back 3 WEEKS LATER, and not one of the nails was popped off, broken, or had major lifting shows just how amazing of a nail technician you are, Kirsty. Especially since they were so long. Andrea might have taken extreme care of her nails, but bc how excellent you are at your profession is why they still look so great. Pdx Paula the longest set i had last I had done on myself, and it lasted a month! I was shocked but I noticed when going to certain nail shops here in the US my nails always lifted. But started doing my nails myself not a lift in sight (once I started getting better).

Amazing work Kirsty. I wore acrylics for a couple of years and went religiously every 2 weeks fir infills which I dreaded. My cuticle area used to end up bruised and bleeding at times. I’m now left with nails that are like tissue, loook at them and they tear. I’ve tried everything to strengthen. I wish you were north of the border.

TBH - and I am a licensed cosmo for 25+ years - I prefer to use a variable speed cordless Dremel with nail bits. You do have to buy the 1/32 collar for the Dremel to fit the shaft for the nail bits but I’ve found the Dremel to be much more affordable in the long run being more sturdy.

Ques, why you don’t use cuticle remover (liquid form) before pushing the cuticles? Because it hurst when nail tech do it to me sometimes. Back home in Philippines we used cuticle remover to soften the skin first.
