I read the comments about people complaining that no one is on the people mover, but that was just when this was being filmed. When it's warmer out, there are tons of people that use it, so it's not a waste. I think the purpose of the people mover was to move people within Downtown, I don't think their intention was to make it a subway. Detroit is not as crowded as, say, New York or Chicago. It really is a wonderful city to just look at even riding the people mover.

i've heard they're "looking in to" expanding the system in the future, but who knows that could 5 years or 30 from now.

Just wait....in just a few years there's going to be a huge comeback in downtown Detroit, with busy cruse ship traffic growing more and more popular every year, which will bring in many more shops and foot traffic to downtown, much greater than ever before!....JUST WAIT AND SEE! YOU'LL BE AMAZED!! Its already the most beautiful waterfront in this country, many park improvements going on right now, and when the new people mover expands to all 3 casinos, the professional centers, further out into the surrounding areas, you'll see Detroit comeback greater than anyone could ever imagine!
