That is not enough though, otherwise they should have won the Asian Cup and they shouldn't be losing to teams like Iraq or Iran. Japan needs Tomiyasu back and the other young defense squads as well as a strong goalkeeper and they should have used Leo Kukobu instead of Zion Suzuki, Kokobu is more solid and consistent even at a young age. If they have all of them then they should be steam rolling teams in Asia.

@@GI876758 Japan did play at their level at all in Asian Cup, if they played at the level they showed at World Cup were they beat the like of Germany/Spain, tie Croatia and almost beat Belgium they would have steamrolled Asian Cup. The reality is that Japan came in Asian Cup with the wrong mentality, it's really feel like they were arrogant, sloppy and lazy, throught they already won because of their result against Europe and they didn't have any intensity, didn't have the heart they show before, didn't have the creativity offensively and was obviously still plagued in the keeper area but that something that is a problem since year. At least the Asian Cup seems to have been a wake up call because we see a visage of Japan way closer to the one we saw at World Cup during this qualifier, a dominant team that leave no space for hope to beating them for the opponent.

Of course it's hard to find 11 real talents from large pool of people just like in India. The selection tests are filled with millions of amateur boys so it's hard to test skills and footballing intelligence of everyone. Even if one might be skillful, he mightn't be the smartest so he won't be able to understand modern tactical football
