Hello 😊, J'ai un problème à regarder du Tennis de table ces dernières années. Les services sont quasi tous illégaux. La balle doit être lancée verticalement vers le haut.(sans effet) et la frappe non masquée. Hors les joueurs la lance quasi tous vers eux ou dans une autre direction. Donc service illégal. La règle n'a pas changée depuis plus de 50 ans. (Enfin si, renseignement pris, les règles ont changées. lol 😂.)

it's because of the sweat, they try to dry their palms and they do it to win time to plan (f.e. the next serve). And the bouncing of the ball is just a ritual to concentrate and focus again.

Another way to keep the pressure on your opponents is to eat tons of garlic and ginger and NOT brush your teeth for a week, you can keep them back from the table and then serve short under spin 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

These world-class players compete as if they are playing baseball. A pitcher will throw a curve, a slider, a fastball, a breaking-ball, etc. But the pitcher is doing that one pitch at a time. These TT players are mixing it up contineously with several strokes. A long time ago, I played a 21-point match against a very good player. It was not a surprise that I barely got 5 points. I also suspected that a few of them were mercy points.

It's for humidity, that's the part of the table where the ball is not likely to hit it and it's also a psychological tool for the players.
