Dude, Alexis plays an amazing table tennis, he could easily be in the top 10 right now. There have been many matches where he could've won, but he ended up losing because of pressure, stress, or stuff like that. I will always be on Alexis boat. I truly believe that he will soon be in the top 5. He just needs more mental stability. Trust me, he is one of the best players in the world.

Alexis' problem clearly seems to be emotional, he breaks down. He needs to strenghten that and also be able to read the player and switch tactics, something Felix does better. Too often does Alexis get far behind the table

You must be delusional. Ma Long has face both Felix and Alexis twice. And beat both of them easily. And just last year. I would ask you to explain Overpower in terms of table tennis. But I bet you don't even play. Hugo is ranked higher than Alexis. But I bet to you that does not matter in terms of " Overpower ".

@@kylinlinux7742 Overpower here means using power hit/loop to get points. If you watch latest Felix vs ML, Felix got point by throwing hard fast loop and punch. ML lost a game quickly because of that. Then ML changed the strategy. He used effective BH block for defense and then used his FH when he had a chance. ML also slowed his FH loop. When two sides are at same skill level, whoever has better defense wins. ML here is an example.

@@shuli6021 Overpower didn't mean winning the whole match. Just means when two sides rally, one side has more power than other side and thus gets the point. Chinese players know that when they play with Hugo. They just use many fast balls or short balls so as not to give Hugo many chances to use his power loop.

If you look closely enough, you'll notice that almost all of his serves are illegal. He's notorious for some of the worst rule violations regarding the service.

@@AMysteriousRonin It is a nervous tick. Quite common actually to collect a lot of flegm when you are nervous... so that manifests in coughing during competition. I personally have the same problem and know quite a few others who do. In my case it is 8-ball pool at a high level.

Sadly, this might've been the best possible outcome for his Félix, he wouldn't want to face Alexis in the next match :) Anyway, tragic loss for Alexis, I thought he could make it but Calderano was too strong and Alexis made way too many unforced errors. As always, quite a mental game, Calderano is a streaky player after all
