FULL MOON PARTY KOH PHANGAN THAILAND 🇹🇭 (honest experience)

If you're coming to the island Koh Phangan as part of your Thailand travel, then you probably already know about the Full Moon Party. Thailand's most famous beach party takes place every month, and I didn't want to miss it while backpacking Thailand. I made sure to document my honest experience at the Full Moon Party on Haad Rin beach in this Koh Phangan travel vlog so I could show you what this party is really like.

Before the pandemic, Kho Pangan used to accommodate tens of thousands of people for the fun full moon party event. I had so much fun when I were there years ago. It was wild, crazy, entertaining, energetic party on the beach.

Hi, Claire! Wonder if you’re still in Thailand! I’d like to suggest a couple of places for you to go! I guarantee you will love it there!.....Go to either “Maerim Elephant Sanctuary” in Chiang Mai or “Samui Elephant Kingdom” in Surin. I guarantee you’ll love it there and have such a great and fun time there!

You didn't put the name of the restaurant in the description. The one with the Curry. Was Is it hard to get a mini van in the evening? Where did ypu depart from? When you went to the party. What about transportation, after the party? Do you have to book it in advance? I was still left with questions , after watching your video.

It’s so easy to get into the party with taxis running all night so it’s not necessary to stay in Haad Rin. For more comfortable accommodation look northwards from the pier at Thong Sala and areas such as Hin Kong, Sri Thanu, Haad Yao etc. Still easy to get to any of the party’s from these locations and lots going on. 😉

A great video Claire. Thanks for sharing. I am planning to do these islands next year. I am specific about the dates of travel. Would you recommend booking the ferries in advance? I am doing Koh Phangan but not during the full moon party.

That’s a good question! I didn’t book the ferries in advance and had to wait quite a bit for the boats. If you’re working with limited time on the island then I’d suggest looking into booking in advance if you can. Have a great trip!

Hi Claire2 places that frequent in Bangkok are The SAXAPHONE which is 1 block walk from the Victory Monument station you would be a big hit there as a guest vocalist. Give it a shot. The other place is the BAMBOO Bar at the 5 star ORIENTAL HOTEL by the river, wonderful jazz and great lychee margaritas. check them out.

The best thing about Koh Phangan is to NOT be there for full moon party, the island has a lot more going for it. If your into just the party go for the night and return to Koh Samui for the day, all the accommodation is way over priced and it’s a nightmare to be honest!
