Thanks for joining us on one of the original videos for the Full Commute Experience! The early videos were a little rough since I was still working on the concept but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyways lol. NYC is such a huge place that you could spend a lifetime here and never see everything. For example, it's been 8 years since I've gone to the Bronx and I went to Staten Island for the first time last year for a group ride! In the future, when I have a bit more free time away from work or when I become a full time content creator, my goal is to add more diversity to the routes and scenery as well as travel to different cities to record!

Nice chill ride to work, even with the few drifters into the bike lane. Loving the long rides with the self commentary thrown in there, it gives you the real feels. Bro... you caught the rare green wave... congratulations on that. It had to help the time for the longer route. Yo... spittin the ol school hip-hop lyrics... nice touch. That's what I'm talking about. It brings you into the ride. I feel the same about my videos to work too, but that's the fun part of making the videos, you honestly never know what we are going to see and it's our protection and eye witness if we ever need it.... God forbid. You were moving when you hit the west side, you really got to open her up there with the open roads. The roads there looked better in the cameras eye. Loved it Ivan, keep them coming and congrats on the sub count! You'll be at a thousand in no time. Ride That Tasty Wave

Thanks for watching, I appreciate ya! The Green Wave is quite rare and always welcome, it makes for more interesting riding lol. Stop and go traffic really sucks and it’s even worse when you get to the west side since that’s one of the places you can really cruise. These videos are definitely fun for us to make and for others to watch but they definitely serve another purpose in the event of an accident. With the way PEVs are perceived at the moment, we are unfortunately guilty until proven innocent.

Hi Geoff, thank you for your kind words and I appreciate your support! I’m glad you guys could watch the videos together. I make my content with my wife in mind lol. She gets so tired of me talking about PEVs and scooters because I get really nerdy about it but she can watch my videos because we keep it light 😅😂. I hope you enjoyed your stay in NYC, it’s an amazing city. Again, I appreciate your support and thank you for chiming in!

I cracked and bent the front split rim pretty good on my Vsett running over a small but very nasty rock doing 40+. Steering damper saved my butt. I suggest one for just about any single stem scooter that can go 30+ mph. Not just because of wobbles, but potholes and debris. Another chill and great video.
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Hey Terry, thank you for watching! I appreciate ya. something similar happened to me on my Mantis 10. I didn’t have a steering damper so I was lucky it happened and lower speeds! Yup, in my last video I made the mistake of going to fast in a neighborhood I wasn’t familiar with and it resulted in a cracked rim. Unfortunately, the roads are just not that good where we can rock smaller tires, with lower pressure, and really let the scooters fly. That’s the biggest reason I only let the Nami rip in areas I know extremely well. Did you end up replacing the rim or did you just bend it back into place?
@terrypipes7321 Жыл бұрын
@Eyebahn Rides Nah, I took it over to PEV Works/Alien Rides out in San Francisco. To replace to the split rim, you have to get into the deck, and disconnect the power cable going to the motor. I'm fairly handy, but I wasn't messing around with that.

Hi Cody, thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I got a new route going up tomorrow as well! The jacket was a killer. I was ready to scrap the whole thing but I couldn't. Hi there 👋 loving your videos 👍🏼 on this particular one, are you not worried about someone opening their car door when you pass by in them cycle lanes?
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for watching the videos and welcome to the channel! That’s one of our biggest fears as NYers. I actually broke my hand last year getting doored in the bike lane. When I use them, I try to stay on the opposite side of where the cars are parked. I’m trying not to use them as much but it’s a bit harder when you’re recording because I move a little slower when I’m chatting 😅
@scootersquires Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnrides wow that was lucky it was only just your hand 😱 yeah I feel your pain, I’m trying to build a KZbin channel up called ScooterSquires and find it hard to get content out there as they are illegal here ☹️ and we get points on our driving license and a fine if we get caught, also they can take them off us and crush them 🤬 anyway glad you are ok and hopefully they make them legal here soon so I can get out on the roads 👍🏼

@@scootersquires yea, it was a blessing that it was just my hand. Thank goodness I was wearing an armored jacket and a full face helmet 🙏🏼. Good luck, I hope they make it legal so you can enjoy it. We’re experiencing some uncertainty here in nyc because irresponsible treatment of the batteries have sparked a wave of fires. The city won’t ban it but individual buildings and landlords have begun to. I hope we all get to ride and we’re able to enjoy this hobby of ours 🙏🏼

Thanks Erock, I appreciate ya! With aggressive riding like that, I get about 30+ miles of range. I’ll get about 50+ if I’m just chilling most of the time and occasionally blasting it. All good! I usually have to do that when I watch long videos like this. I appreciate ya man.

It's interesting hearing you pronounce Kosciuszko the way you do. Here in Australia we have Mount Kosciuszko which we pronounce "Kosy osko". Named after a Polish soldier I believe. But if you say it here, you have to really overdo the Aussie accent. "That's not a Kosy Osko knoife!!"
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching this video as well! Hahaha yea, we have some interesting way do saying certain things in NYC lol. The one that confuses people the most is Houston Street. Most assume that its Hyoos-ton like the city. But here we say House-ton street. We can generally tell the tourists from locals that way. I wish I could copy an Aussie accent, it’s really difficult for me because I rarely hear it around here.

Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel! I'm using an insta360 X3 and Insta360 One RS ( there are links to them in the videos description). They naturally have an ultra side FOV so there are distortions on the edges, however, I'm ok with that because the middle of the shot is clear and no distortion. I don't really have any specific settings since the FOV is manually set during the editing process in the Insta360 Desktop App. I hope this helps!

New sun here..! I live in Utica NY upstate from you. In the decision making process of buying a scooter and I thought I wanted the wolf GTR.. but am concerned about all the rain we get..! Can almost promise I’d get caught in a rain storm of some kind..! Any thoughts…? I did have the Burn E on my radar..!
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Chris, I appreciate the support! Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the wolves because they're a bit too bulky and stiff for my liking. The Nami already attracts alot of unnecessary attention in my building but I believe the WKGTR would attract more attention because of how massive and bulky it looks! However, I have gotten to ride the WKGT and it's performance is undeniable. It's fast and really stable but the suspension is really stiff. If your roads don't have many potholes, its an amazing option. But its a bit harsh in the city lol. As for the IP rating, I believe both are IP Rated for riding in the wet. My Burn E now has around 3400 miles on it and it's been ridden in all conditions. It's as good as the first day. The only thing that you will have to do with the Burn E is use some type of marine grease on the neck tube so that keeps the water out of the bearings. Every 1000 miles I've also had the scooter tuned at my local FFR shop to make sure that I'm good to go because I ride in wet conditions quite often. If i were more handy, I'd do it myself lol. If you're a mechanically savvy, you could do the tune up yourself. As you can tell, I'm quite biased as an owner of a Nami product. I know that the WFKGT is faster and beefier at its price point but that doesn't really matter to me. I'm about comfort, quickness, reliability, and the styling has to resonate with me. The Burn E does that for me! I'm sure if you visit a WFKGT channel they will tell you otherwise lol. At the end of the day, having two great options is a win for the customer! I hope this helps!

Do you think I could use the Burn E to commute around 26 miles round trip daily?
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate ya! I can confidently say that you’ll be able to complete that kind of round trip commute under “normal riding conditions”. What I mean by normal is - stop and go, speeds of 25-40mph, and occasionally hitting 55+ mph. I haven’t ridden all out for extended distances because we can’t do it in the city, but I assume you won’t be able to do it if you’re doing max speed for 13 miles straight. At that point you might have to charge at work. I hope this helps!
