One aspect of design that I need to work on is having different layers and levels of my flowers/ foliage . I think that will really push my work over the top. Thanks

Great class. Thanks. After putting the bouquet stems in water to wait for The Time, do you then just wipe the stems dry so they don't drip on the dress? Is there some magic way to do that?
@AnnevanMidden2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Haha, no magic way I'm afraid! I give it a gentle shake and use a tea towel to dry off the stems, making sure to get in between the stems as well. What also helps, is leaving the stems a bit longer and cut them short&straight before you hand it off, that should remove most of the wet part. And then wipe them anyway, just in case :)

Thank you for this! But how do you set it down during the "pause" without the shape breaking apart? Do you put it in a vase or do you secure it somehow? Awesome tutorial, Thank you! 🙏
@AnnevanMidden9 ай бұрын
My pleasure! ❤ And great question! If your spiral is well built, you should be able to put it down and pick it up without too much disturbance. But to be safe, simply put a rubber band around it and set it in a vase. For bouquets I use vases that are more wide on the bottom and slightly more narrow on the top, but nothing too high. That way, the stems will fit in nicely without crushing anything! If your cascade bit is fragile, you could gently wrap some paper around the stems, so they don't break. Hope this helps ☺

How did it hang together when you put it down for a break?
@AnnevanMidden2 ай бұрын
The spiral technique makes sure all stems support each other! But a more secure way is to wrap a rubber band around for the time being :) You can pop it into water, take a break and simply unwrap the band when you continue designing! Hope that helps :)

how far ahead can you make a bouquet like this? Can it be put in water until use?
@AnnevanMidden4 ай бұрын
Sorry for my late reply, I was on holiday and had some busy weeks. I wouldn't make it too far ahead, preferably the afternoon/evening before or the morning of the event. Mainly because this style of bouquets is best for events/weddings or photoshoots, so you'll want to use flowers at their prime. Definitely keep it in water, yes! :)
