kurt busch made a comment that since the track is smaller than either plate track, the corners are tighter so the car has to handle really well like daytona and learning how to draft properly will be a priority. may get groups of 3 or 4 cars that breakaway on long green flag runs like they did in the 90's.
@_gr1nchh2 жыл бұрын
I would say no. It's a mile and a half track. Not a 2 1/2 mile track. It has tighter corners. I think you will see pack racing but it will be much more intense than the superspeedways. I think you'll see a lot of slide jobs and 3 wide in the corners. I think the racing at Atlanta will actually be insane.

Why does this car snap on corner entry on a flatout track at 2:16? Could it be due to a aerodynamic deficit.

@D1aNdOnLyNiCkx32 жыл бұрын
Was lil.wet Kurt said but also has to do with the car being symmetrical on both sides unlike.last year car which the right side stuck out
@coolguy200000002 жыл бұрын
@@D1aNdOnLyNiCkx3 yeah, but with the cars having so much downforce in the Superspeedway package that they were running, and the 510 HP, he really shouldn't have been getting sideways like that, even without sideforce
@johnnyc.18192 жыл бұрын
The new cars don't have the side force as the old cars did. Both sides are equal now as production cars are. Cars will be stepping out on entry, center and on the exit of the turns. Which will make drivers race on pins & needles hahaha. Plus with the rack & pinion steering being added this year. I bet it'll be a wreck fest till changes are made.

To all those with concerns about this package (some of them legitimate), we'll have to see how the cars race in a pack to know if it'll be good. To all those who might be a huge fan of this (which there might be good reason to be), we'll have to see how the cars race in a pack to know if it'll be good. It all depends on that.

They won't. This is what Nascar wants, pack racing on intermediates. They somehow think people want superspeedway-style racing in every track, while 90% want off throttle time...
