So I told my husband that I wish you had enough content recorded to have a tv channel so that I I could watch and listen to you all day long- right now I just rewatch your videos. You are my crafting spirit animal! Lol. He sat to watch this video with me & told me that he understood why I love to watch your videos… after you made the comment, “there are no mistakes, just happy accidents”, he said “she’s really positive, like the Bob Ross of crafting!” I was cracking up, but totally agree. Thanks Cathy!!!

I've been told this about no mistakes with stamping, as well. It gives me a chance not to toss something, but to look for what I can do to make my "errors" seem like they were meant to be. Love that perspective and saves me a lot of time. Another place I used to buy stamps from, the owner said if you get a blob where you didn't want one, stick on a butterfly, or something else to cover it up. It works like a charm. I loved and still miss her, as she was a very calm, kind person to learn from. She got me hooked on stamping.

Hi Cappo! Love shaker cards. I tried one for my granddaughter. But used glitter instead of sequins. When I picked it up, I got glitter. Then I gave it to Roy to look at it and the rest of the glitter all over his lap. Such is the life of a crafter’s husband. Lol

The scene you made is called Alpenglühen in Germany and that means Alps glowing. In real its overwhelming and really wonderfull. Everything has a touch of pink/ red. I do not see it often because I live in northeast of Germany, what is plain. But we have wonderful sunsets and sunrises, too. I really like your scene, its so peaceful. Nature is so much bigger than everything humans can create. To see pure nature scenes touches my heart in a deep way. Your scene reminds me of that feeling

I love the blending of the sun the most. It was perfect the way it blended to a light-ish almost yellow. But I was disappointed that you then stamped your greeting right over top of all the work you did with your sun. Overall I love the card and the idea of an overall shaker card. It's a good idea.Thank you for sharing with us.

Nice shaker card, Cathy. I appreciate you showing the stenciled version that you didn't use. I feel like it gives me permission to not use my makes that don't pan out. It's only paper after all.

I love the look of the embossing powder. But I don't understand how the ink made it stick? Does it emboss the word into the card and create like a crater for the powder?
@czdesign9 ай бұрын
No, the embossing ink is sticky! and it's very slow drying and clear. So… the powder, which is very finely ground, sticks to where you stamp the embossing ink, and the rest falls away… well, it falls away as long as your other elements are dry! That is why we also like to use anti static powder before we stamp with the sticky embossing ink. : )

How fun!!! I really want to try that. One question: Do you like that tape runner better than the 3M pink ATG?

Hey Sue! I have never used the big 3M ATG! So i can't say!
@jragnes3 жыл бұрын
Just an fyi...its easy enough to do a full size shaker with the plastic packaging that your stamps come in. I've done many like this for a good number of years already. Win win... you are using the plastic packaging that is already free plus you aren't filling the dump sites with plastic packaging! It works just as good as the ones you purchased!

Yes, objects in the foreground will be darker, or with more color and detail. When something is farther away it will show up lighter. In a grassy field, the grass will have more color and detail to it than the grass farther away, which will be less defined, as well. Love those trees. :D (I used to do oil painting--Miniatures and loved it. Now, I'm a stamp-aholic card maker.) Re: Doing whatever we want--a.k.a. Artistic License. Ain't it great?
