Same. And I'm sad they haven't done a proper Paper Mario 64/TTYD sequel. We all need to go to Nintendo's official site contact form, Twitter, Facebook page and other social media and make it known that we want a proper sequel to these games. They need to go back to their roots with this!

Lol. I wouldn't call it a good story, but a good game. It was the same as the others, save the princess. Wow, Bowser won kinda. But in the end, Mario won with the help of his friends (Which happened in Super Mario RPG. Which was a little different but kind of the same too)

My grandmother used to watch us play games and she would dabble in them from time to time (she was pretty good at killer instinct gold)... she absolutely could not understand why I loved this game so much and would make fun of the battle system or the fact that it looks like paper. I tried as best I could as a 7 or 8 year old to tell her that this game was a true masterpiece and it was more than the sum of its parts. I had no idea it would continue to outshine games for years and years to come in my mind. No game has come close to touching this one in terms of pure enjoyment.

+Aquanex2 It is kinda weird, you know they feel the need to come up with new stuff or people will call them out on doing nothing new, but look how well thousand year door is loved. The changes it made were ones that worked. Super paper mario was obviously a big departure, but even then, the gameplay was more or less kept in check. The last rendition, sticker star, was utter shit because they weren't paying attention to what they were doing. The game could have been good, but they completely broke the game when they removed the leveling system. Without it, there was ZERO reason to fight enemies, all it did was waste stickers and take time. This seems to be the case with every new Nintendo game based on a previous franchise. It is all there, but broken in some way that boggles the mind. It really is sad that the same people that brought up the first Paper mario can't seem to do it again.

That's somewhat true for the first half of the game. But once you get to the second part of the game, it's becoming clear that you will need to level grind a bit as the bosses become harder and you have to choose carefully what you to increase: Your HP, Flower Points, or Badges.

It's a damn good game with perfect pacing. Honestly the only thing that makes this game more enjoyable for me are the badge moves. But holy cheep cheep, trying to go for no random encounters and only scripted events makes this such an item toss up. My only solace was being able to upgrade the crew, unfortunately I got my ass handed to me in Chapter 3s ending when you bump into Jr. Troopa. His last battle is normally the most difficult but damn was I praying to RNG for those dodges

wolfminus Have you played the game? Oh yeah! That's right, it hasn't come out yet. Don't be so quick to judge. I think if you give it a chance, you'll actually like it. But no, I suppose you're that kind of kid who doesn't want to eat his vegetables because "They look gross." So maybe you should wait until it comes out, buy it, play it, and then have an opinion. Because you are person who needs to learn the phrase; "Don't judge a book by it's cover"

E-SPACE Productions I love these kinda clowns, never change, dude. I don't need to waste 60+ bucks just because a game I have a huge disinterest in could possibly be not that bad, and anyone who feels like they need to really need to reevaluate their lives. Also, I'm not judging a book by its cover, a trailer it's more comparable to getting to know what the book it's about, getting to know its concept and a few of its elements and from then on deciding to getting to know more about it, or maybe leave it be because you're not compelled at all by it. You don't see me saying that the game is shit because it's a children's game, do you? THAT is judging something by its cover and it's really fucking hilarious to me that people like you can't see the difference.

Whoa this was and still is my favorite game of all time. First time I played it was back in 2000 when I was 5. I played this game from start to finish probably well over 20 times (even as a teenager I made sure to play through the entire game at least once a year). It's so nostalgic how I clicked through each of these songs in the sounds track, and was not only able to remember which part(s) of the game that song came up in, but personal memories of childhood events that were attached to those songs. Brings me back to the friends I used to hang out with, places I went to, and shows I used to watch. Hopefully these memories stay with me as I get older.

Man... The 90's were so much better than today... Back then, we used to go to our friend's house to play games or they came to ours. We stayed overnight sometimes, after school, had pizza/coke during the week-end while playing video games... Today, everyone is obsessed with resolution, graphics, framerate, shooters and online... There is no real life contact today... (playing in the same room) . Except maybe Nintendo (Thank God!!) who brings us games to play together (3D World, MK8, SSBU, MP10) but still... Today, we watch random people play games on Internet... !!?! I feel like gaming lost some magic. Call me a nostalfag, I don't care at all. To me, gaming will never be like the 80's and 90's... ;'-( but it's my opinion.

I would say you are right, it is different. Gaming is great throughout all the years though graphics are a concern they were back then too. While I agree to some degree, there is nothing wrong with online MP or shooters. Online is a great feature that allows you to play with millions of people, as well as your friends who live far away or cant come over. But what I dont like is how developers just ignore splitscreen. Shooters can be great games, just like any genre. I always think its stupid that people think shooters are ruining gaming, it makes no sense.

When I was growing up, difficulty in games usually was pretty relative to how much I enjoyed a game. And yet, even though this game never gave me many issues beating growing up, I enjoyed it so damn much, and couldn't figure out why growing up. It might sound silly, but this game was probably the game for me growing up that taught me that sometimes, the journey can be way more entertaining than the destination, at least in the context of video games. Had I not played this game growing up as my first game ever, I think my outlook on the games I found fun to play could have been very different. While it's not my favorite game anymore, this game has remained in my top 10 for almost 20 years now, and I dont expect that to change any time soon.
