Being completely sincere, when my friend and I were seniors in high school, we entered a slam poetry competition in which we listed things off we enjoyed about the school. It was completely inspired by these scroll episodes, and I played the Jake to my friend’s Amir. Very funny that Jake described these episodes like writing slam poetry!

Pretty sure these scroll videos invented that glorious long-running Jake & Amir joke format that evolved and carried on into the Headgum era that goes: A [rhyme A] [rhyme B] for this [rhyme A] [rhyme B] makes/gets/has/etc. the ladies go/etc. [rhyme A] [rhyme B]. (awkward pause) I [past tense verb] my [relation] at/in [location]. The comments on many Headgum sketch videos are littered with fans doing their own sometimes hilarious versions.

TLDR: I think $5 to watch as much of their content as you can in a month when you can afford it is worth it. Cancel when you can't afford it They've been releasing them on Patreon. It's $5 a month if you're able to afford it. But if you can't, you could spend $5 to watch what they have uploaded to their patreon within a month's timeframe, then cancel before the month is up. Hope this helps you watch all the content they've already uploaded. I've got to end my subscription to them as well, but have watched most of their "J&A Watch" series. They also have a podcast and some other patreon exclusive content.
