It’s all fun and games in the park until you’ve experienced “laughing in the dark”. Pick the right door and you’ll go free, pick the wrong door and there “he’ll” be! -AYAOTD-the tale of the laughing in the dark-

This would have been a great ride for the kiddos. Ever since they shut down the Pitoune, I'm just not into Laronde anymore. My other two favourite are the Tobogan and Le Dragon...I find these are rides that kids can do with adults. La Pitoune was the best cause it allowed all ages to join. As for this ride, sadly, I remember seeing it back in the 1990s, but did not do it. I went once to Laronde as a kid, but as an adult, I've brought my kids (and students) countless of times.

Ya I’m really annoyed about Pitoune also. It was my favourite along with this one. I’m shocked they got rid of it too. I don’t understand why. I haven’t been in over 20 years. Want to go this summer but finding out about this one gone I dunno

It's a shame that this ride is now defunct. I love dark rides!

Salut! Merci pour ce vidéo! Mais si tu veux que les gens le retrouvent plus facilement c'est 'Le Moulin de la Sorcière' pas 'Le Moulin de la Sorcerier'! Hi! Thanks for this video! However if you want people to find it quickly it's 'Le Moulin de la Sorcière' not 'Le Moulin de la Sorcerier'! 😀🧙♀

Thanks, I updated the info. It's pretty sparse for this ride, which is a shame. It was a great old school dark ride.

Hawg Gnarly Yeah, sadly I never got to try it out, I was 4 years old when it closed in 2005

What happened to this ride? Was it razed? Too old to continue operating? Sad that many of these rides bit the dust. A similar ride still operates at Rye Playland in NY. A lot of beach parks lost dark rides. Such as Seaside Heights, NJ, Wildwood, NJ, Myrtle Beach, etc.
@HawgGnarlyDude7 жыл бұрын
I assume it just got too old. I have videos of many other defunct dark rides, including old versions of the ones at Rye.

Having worked for la ronde this season, I noticed they don’t maintain their rides the way they should. That being said, they probably didn’t maintain it properly and let it get to the point where they didn’t want to spend any more money on it and replace it with another ride that wouldn’t perform as good and once again be poorly maintained..
@robkrasinski62174 жыл бұрын
Was the removal after Six Flags bought the park? If yes, then that makes sense because a big company like Six Flags isn't too fond of old rides that are expensive to maintain and old dark rides. Cedar Fair ripped down a mill chute dark boat ride called Journey to the Center of the Earth after they bought Dorney Park near me in 1992. It operated to the end of the season then was razed.

Where in the park was this ride located?
@CSCRECORDSBC2 жыл бұрын
It was not far off (or thereabout) Super manege, in that part of the park.
