Paulo Cuento The 18R single cam that came in Hiaces and Hiluxes is a direct swap with an 18rg celica, only the sump and pick up tube needs to be swapped over and same goes for the 18RG

I freakin' love this Corolla (the whole collection, really). Thanks for bringing it to us, the lowly public, who probably wouldn't ever see such a fine example otherwise. And a huge thanks to the restorer/builder/owner, Mr. Muniz, for keeping it on the road & letting it get filmed for Hoonigan. Have a 1973 2TC Corolla, it is running now using a SP-1 racing gasoline, leaded, no alcohol, 111 octane. It was a daily driver car for about 25 years (300,000 miles) before having engine issues. Turned out there is nothing wrong with the car, it was the California gasoline blend change that caused the problems. Need a referral for a good body shop for restoring the paint, mustard yellow.

Dr👌👌L... As a loyal die hard ToyoDa enthusiast Larry this was awsome. Mad props to Big Mike & his wife on amazing Corollas. Super c👌👌L his wife is his navigator & partner in crime...Im truly jelly. My ToyoDa experiences : At 16 yrs old I owned a 72 TE27 1.2L 3KC 73 C.I.D 70bhp 4spd manual, front power discs brakes, rear drums, 12" steel wheels, 155/70P12 ( $18 ea. Good Year Eagles ) aftermarket transparent distributor cap & spark plug wires ( light show @ night ). Later I would up grade to a 1.6L 3TC 97 C.I.D gifted from my friend Roosevelt. Since then I've worked for various ToyoDa dealers in parts & service for over 15 yrs. The Corolla is long gone & sadly missed ( Totaled ) but still have 4 ToyoDas in the driveway. When Mike mentioned racing in the Greenhills area in the Philippines, it brought back memories when I was living back there in the 80s and the 90s. I have watched a lot of those races back in the days. The hot cars to have then were the 2TG powered Corollas, the Isuzu Gemini, and the Ford Escort. I used to have a 78 Ford Escort with minor engine work done by Lito Dulce.

You mentioned a rally dirt track in Greenhills. Went their one time with my dad and brother in the mid 80's. Seeing all those rally cars upfront and in action was just an awesome treat! I remember a blue Toyota Levin being driven like it was an RC car, not a care in the world and it look like it was all stock. There was a Nissan 240 RS, that was really brutal seeing in action, just brutal! Thats how remember it. Mike is a legit old school car guy. Galing ng build mo men! Did you also participate in the Transhows at CCP?
