Well to be fair with 4points they basically secured quarter finals spot. It was not good showing, but group stage is quite boring most of the time in tournaments as you just need to make you get in top2 (or top3 with enough points and good goal difference).

The problem with the media is they do not provide any context for English players and constantly hype them up to be players they are not. Bellingham, as an example, is a very talented player for Madrid. But he categorically does not make the team tick. He gets on the end of plays for Madrid like he did against Serbia. But anyone expecting him to dominate midfield battles hasn’t been watching him closely. That’s not his game. The same goes for a lot of other English players who the media never actually constructively analyze correctly.

The guy with the orange tie nailed the TAA analysis. If Gordon (comfortly fitting in with his club teammate) and Saka were both playing and and were running the lines Trent would fine them regularly and we'd be in. Agree, neither of them are, Saka is far too predictable in his runs and easy to mark out, the Danes done him today and Serbia easily mastered him once they knew how...that is not world class...Rice simply does not have the distribution or passing range, he can't prompt the team forward and as someone else told me he was removed from the holding role in Arsenal in January, he also gets the granny torn out of him in Champions league football...

There's two reasons why players might not perform to the level of their club form. 1. The coach is asking them to do something they're not comfortable with. 2. The shape/balance of the team is making individuals uncomfortable. It's ALWAYS the coach's fault.

England never kill a game after going one nil up. It's the same old story as the pundits rightly say. Play players in their best position , but Southgate is accommodating certain players such as Foden. Luke Shaw has been injured for a long time and did not train this week, so why have him in the squad when a fully fit left back must be available surely ? Southgate has always been clueless when it comes to team selection and his ability to make changes mid game and change the system are beyond him. It has been this way for many years under Southgate. From a Dane...I don't quite know what's worse as a spectator and fan...utilising everything you got and still constantly fear to loose (Denmark) or having some of the worlds best footballing talent...and not utilising it (England). Seeing Foden running through our defence like a knife through butter was scary and I do think (know) England will be a true force once they start enjoying the game and really think about what they can do to the opponent and not worry (that much) about what the opponents comes with...that part of the pundit comments was spot on. Great tournament so far and an exiting game seen from the Danish point of view. As for England...it should be the 'nothing to loose' approach going forward. Otherwise it will be a 1-1 draw with Slovenia as well.
