Stayed at Portofino in April. It's the only place we have stayed at in UOR. Love it so much. It really captures the essence of the Italian Riviera - my Italian born parents even love it there!

Just booked portofino for 12/4/23 (I’m used to booking Disney trips 😂) I wanted Royal Pacific but I got a nicer room for less money at Portofino. The first thing I did was find a Rix Flix Portofino tour!! I love you guys. Thanks for all your help. Keep up the great work!!

I love all the Universal hotels, but this one just has such a great vibe to it. It doesn't feel like a hotel at all when you walk around. Love it so much, I believe I am going in a few weeks, so i am so excited to go! And who knows maybe ride velocicoaster?

Yes, Portofino is worth it!!! The place is soo laid back and relaxing. We have stayed there 3x's and love it. The Staff are wonderful people! The Hotel is 1st class and they treat you well. Portofino is dog friendly and the paths around the reservation are great or evening and early morning walks. Warning: If your dog needs a walk at 3 am, beware of the sprinklers.

Nice review of a resort I've always been curious about. My last theme park resort was The Contemporary, and the room was much more posh than this one. But the theming for this resort is better I have to admit.

We stayed at Portofino, got a couples massage on the first day and ate at BICE on our last night. Amazing resort, we liked that it felt away from the resort and could relax in the evenings and if we wanted more excitement could go to citywalk. Highly recommend a bay view room it’s a great morning view

be there in july. booked Portofino. have been before, my favorite resort. i took a look at the app today and noticed hagrids does not have virtual but more importantly, looks like the park opened early so resort guests did not have the early park admission. i was just wondering if this is normal? one of the advantages is staying on property and being able to at least get in a line for popular rides before general park opening. i'm sure there is going to be a mad dash to velocicoaster and hagrids.

Even tough it is the most expensive resort, it is well worth the it. We have stayed there 3 times in the last 6 years. When we came down to ride "Dueling Dragons" aka "Dragon Challenge" one last time, we got upgraded to a top floor balcony room facing the bay and the parks. Our best stay ever! Oh and also, If you are a Universal Pass Holder, you can go to the express check in line to get checked into your room faster. I do suggest that you have your stay upgraded to Club Level. Breakfast is included and there is also a Free Beer and Wine bar every evening. The room us usually open all day and one can come in and get a Softdrink or juice any time of day. And DO NOT forget to come to the balcony area outside to listen to some Opera in the evenings.

Stayed there mid May our bathroom and room were the exact same setup. The resort is pretty dated and rough and food options were lacking, surprising they can call this one of their top resorts. The service was excellent however.

Great video, Nikki! (and Rick) When you do Royal Pacific, could you please include the poolside Bula Bar? And show the smoking area at Bula Bar? It is one of the very few Universal Orlando smoking areas that offers full service food & bar service. The other one is outside Margaritaville's "Lone Palm" at City Walk, under the plane.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous however it is too much on the quiet side for us. It always feels like a ghost town. We definitely prefer the hard rock hotel.
