I don't understand the limited gearing options on a Brompton from factory, wouldn't an alfine 8 or 11 speed be perfect for these bikes?

Maybe the Alfine hub size is too big and they haven't collaborated with Brompton yet

@@SastrawinataGendon Could be but I saw a guy who put a Rohloff hub on his Brompton. He had to change is wheel which made the spoke angles pretty extreme but he commented that they could've been better if the aftermarket wheel he bought had angled spoke holes, like the original when did. Also I don't know if they need to collaborate to make it happen. You just go to Shimano and say: Can I have a 1000 alfine hubs please? I image they'd love to sell you some

If Shimano can make 112mm Alfine hub, then sure. I will take that over a SA with 3x2 gearing setup.
