I didn't know you are Canadian. That certainly explains a lot of things LOL... Just kidding 😄 The 56 is my favorite, especially with the big back window, but there's nothing wrong with a small window. Great choice of color. I love that blue... That really sucks finding that rust on the cowl. Fresh air suits are awesome once you get used to dragging around an extra hose. Back in 1990 I was fortunate enough to get the chance to go to work painting multi-million dollar custom motorhomes, and that was the first time I used a fresh air suit. It was a little goofy at first, but it didn't take long to really start liking it. There were four people spraying at the same time, so there was a lot of material in the air. Fortunately the booth ventilation system was on steroids, but the suit still made it really nice. It's amazing how much work can get done with seven guys that know what they are doing, and that work well together. This video should be a good example for people that complain about paint jobs costing so much because it should give people a good idea how many hours it would take one person that has to do everything by themselves. It's a lot, if you want it done right. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished 👍

You took me back to when I was a kid, Dad had a 62 Corvair and It had a distinctive smell. Plus, as a kid I remember us pulling up to a Texaco station for a tank of "Fire Chief" High test, I would stick my face out the window and smell that wonderful gasoline smell, great times. God Bless You Dad, R.I.P.

What a great family project. Love the color! Reminds me of the color I painted my 65 GTO in the late 70s. (well, I didn't paint it - had it done). All I remember was that it was a Cadillac color. Looked almost black until light or the sun hit it and the blue just popped! No pearl but a bit of metal flake in it. If I remember right, that paint job cost me about $500 including some body work. Those were the days .... lol And don't worry ... we'll watch whatever you grace us with!
