Went to TJ Maxx and checked the women perfumes first like I always do and lo and behold they had the Contra for you. Sprayed it on and immediately liked it. If I were to describe the scent it would primarily be bubblegum and vanilla. Glad I got it. It's summer time but still i decided to rock it on a summer night. Saw your review before I bought it though when I was in the store just to make sure it had some kinda longevity to which it does because when I got home I could still smell it. I'm sure it will be live to wear in colder months as well. Thanks for great review. I am very happy to add this to my collection.

I just bought Contra for You today from Marshalls for myself. I absolutely love it on me. I love wearing all kinds of scents (men, women, unisex) and this one is so nice. I love it so much that I sprayed it on my pillow because it's so comforting. There's something about it that reminds me of wintertime, baking pie while it's really cold outside. It reminds me of a really nice Christmas candle but in the best way. Definitely not a spring or summer scent but I still had to add it to my collection, nonetheless. Thank you for your review, it hit the nail right on the head with this one.

So I loooove Layton and told my wife about it a few years back. My b-day rolls around and she got me Layton Exclusif lol I like it but that civet note always gets me. I didn't want to hurt her feelings by getting the original, so I wanted to get a cheaper dupe. . .enter Contra Ex. Latin Royal Edition! I went to Marshall's and randomly pick up the bottles and start sniffing the sprayers, not even looking at the writing on it. I was like, "Layton?!?!". Sprayed one spray on my hand and my wife could smell it while we were walking around. She dug it and gave it a 9 outta 10. $14.99 and now I basically have both Layton's in my collection. Great review and you are right about a lil' bit of that Exclusif in the opening.

I just bought this cologne the other day at Marshall’s as well but it’s an amazing scent and a great atomizer but my only complaint is it only last about 1-2 hours on skin if lucky but other than that it’s a great deal for $15 and would definitely recommend it to someone trying save money!

Latin - bomb! You said lemon zest and I immediately thought naw more like key lime pie lol. Smells nice all day at work but I work in a COLD lab setting. But I wore it in a warming setting and it disappeared 😕 to me at me... Does For You smell similar to the strong(er) with you from milestone?

The Contra For You is an excellent fragrance considering it’s only $15, I have a bottle of it, it’s a little on the sweeter side for my personal liking but I wear it often and it gets compliments, and projects well but like I said for my personal fragrance liking it’s just a tad too sweet/ feminine

Funny how we are all so different. I could not stand Latin. I thought it was incredibly sweet apple vanilla pie. It is a Layton Dupe without the menthol but it is way too sweet and cloying even in cooler weather. Having said that, it projects really well and it lasts forever. Definitely worth $15 and more if this is your "jam" and it is jam. Very youthful I would say. Contra for you is a keeper for sure. It is not as sweet and for sure one of the best Stronger with you dupes money can buy at any price. I have Pheros and Intense and those are keepers too. All of these Contras are for cooler weather. None of them are to be worn in hot weather. By the way, two cheapies that can be found at the rack stores which I think you reviewed and are very very good are Banana Republic Cordoban Vintage and Grasslands. Fantastic for $20 each.

I bought all 3 except the black bottle contra. Couldn't find that. And blue exclusive smells better than my detour noir, which is a very good Layton clone. How close is Pharos to Pegasus? And yes stronger for you is amazing and lasts for a week on my clothes

@@kenmastersmaster Pheros is also very close to Pegasus without the menthol and not as complex as the OG. For $15 they are not going to be. IMO, the best ones are the Black Bottle (intense) and Contra for you. They are 95% close to Givnency EDP and Stronger for you. They are all much more linear than the original ones. Contras are the best dupes at Marshall out of anything they sell. After trying a lot of dupes, I am now moving in the direction of owning less and keeping about 12 to 15 fragrances. It is just impossible to "enjoy" any of them when having so many. It is a rabbit hole for sure It is wise to try something at Macys or Ulta first. You will be surprised to find out how much you initially like something to end up disliking a few hours later. I initially loved the Contra Latin at the store but after wearing it a few times, I dislike everything about it. I have tried the original Layton, I loved it but its menthol note and its complexity and how refined it was. But, I would not spend that kind of money, especially when I can buy 4 awesome OG ones of many different designers ones for the same price.

@@eseir64 have you tried armaf Craze or Alhambra Perseus? I heard both of those are 98% close to Pegasus. I mostly just wear my asad these days.. That's by far my favorite

@@kenmastersmaster I have not. Part of it is because I can not bring myself into buying something without first trying it. The best Contras are Contra For You and Intense. These PDM clones are missing a few things even though they "smell" the same. Hard to explain unless, you try the orginals and you can see how these "thick" dupes are too linear.
