Can I ask you... yesterday I was watching your video and setting up my brand new machine. The black electricity "switching adapter" had a tiny green light on and the machine fired up nicely. I put my first piece of wood in to get started testing and the machine turned off. The little black adapter no longer had a green light. I tried plugging into a new outlet and nothing ever worked again. I'm guessing that my unit was shipped with a FAULTY electrical adapter? Has this happened to you or anyone? I'm contacting support or course, but what a disappointing start to my adventure. UGH.

As someone who designs SVGs and often intricate ones, | would suggest that you take a leaf out of vinyl cutting - and add some 'weeding' lines' to your design in areas like the wide piece along the top of the nativity cross. That would make it infinitely easier to drop the pieces out.

You showed that the plywood did not cut through totally with 1 pass. Could you have added a pass or is "1 pass" not changeable? There is a 40W WeCreate available. I'm new at the laser thing. I'm still researching. It took me several videos before I saw you can't do clear or white acrylic with this. Is that right. I saw one brand of this type that does cut and laser clear. Is there a way to do it with this one. I really like this one. Thank you for a great video

No Judy, no diode laser can cut transparent acrylic because of the laser frequency. You need a Co2 for that.

I note in your replies you advise others that the Lasermatic MK 2 is a far superior machine. However, in your review your comments were very positive with no negatives. Can you explain why the LM is much better and is the LM the machine for my next step up? Regards John (ps I am in the UK so Wecreate not available)

There are too many reasons to list in a comment John. It is bar far the best diode laser on the market to date. Just search for the reviews on KZbin and you'll be convinced.

The autofocus and Z Height control and ability to engrave on something 140mm tall all sound like breakthrough features, not on the Lasermatic though? Just curious as to your thoughts. My engraving needs are objects mostly and not sheets (the Z Height sounds amazing) so maybe my use cases are less common. Thanks!!
