Nice restoration on the hammerhead. However, as a jewelry maker, I prefer a wooden handle for the grip and the feel.

I didn't get it, glue handle, but i learned something vinegar & soda for 3 hours to clean things,

So, i have a question. Rust is an oxidation reaction (iron oxide). Vinegar is an acid (acids are reducing agents) but baking soda is a base. The bubbling is from the vinegar (acid) and the soda (base) neutralizing each other. To me it makes sense why the vinegar is there - it is converting Fe2O3 back to just plane old iron... but what value is the baking soda adding?
