These ladies did an awesome job. This is such a cool side of the sport.

Can I ask the video posters to state what each distance is for the archers, so I can judge how well they are shooting, Love Bare Bow :)
@longbowshooter52913 жыл бұрын
Look at the little signs at their feet, it tells the distance in meters. Plus the announcer announces the distance, the first shooting was 45 meters.

Commentator shouldn't talk when someone is aiming, coaches too!

I much prefer bare bow competition, no matter men or women, it's always felt more like pure archery than the compounds and all the accessories, sights, releases, counter-weights, stabilizers, clickers, drop away rests, and all the other bells and whistles these days. If the bows get any more advanced and accessorized they won't even need the shooter, all they'll have to do is program it and hit a button then. This is more skill based than how good your bells and whistles are adjusted. But then, as you can tell by my name, I'm a bit biased. LOL.

And Stuff Made Here literally just built an automatic aiming bow that can track and hit moving targets

@mralex070 I had been shooting compounds YEARS ago (finger release tho), and always wanted to try a longbow, so I posted a request on a traditional archery site asking if anyone would let me try shooting their longbow. A guy responded and set up a meeting with several other archers to let me try. I hadn't shot a bow in over 26 years at that time. He handed me his 64", 55# longbow and I drew on the target about 75' away. As soon as I drew back I loved it. It just FELT right. I couldn't have hit closer to the center if I'd had walked down and stuck the arrow in by hand. No one would believe me when I told them how long it was since I last shot a bow. I have a Great Plains 66" 52# take down Rio Bravo. It's a sweet shooting bow, doesn't stack up, quiet, smooth.

I have noticed one thing, women usually make strange mouth movement when they come to full draw.

Poor Anne, she's got a lot of arm stuttering going on.... This is bare bow, instinctive archery, why all the aiming and fussing around!!?? I'm sorry Anne needs to hit the practice range !!!!!! Snowflake archery at its best!!!!!! Sorry.....
@courtneydeines-jones46267 жыл бұрын
It is bare bow but not instinctive. They are sighting, which is why they "fuss around." If you look at the men's competitor from France (sorry I forget his name) he makes "fussing" an art!
