Customers will place an order in your store, they will enter the checkout page and pay. Once a customer submits payment information, the payment gateway temporarily holds the money. After the supplier ships the goods and the customer confirms receipt of the goods, you will receive the payment, which will generally be deposited into the payment method bound to you. Where is your store? Different websites support different payment methods.
