Thank you for a flip through that is not too slow and wordy; the pace was just right. =) Your paintings are *beautiful*!! I use more of an art journal approach (more sketchy) but I really like your format too. I hesitate to fill a sketchbook like that because it would be a lot of pressure on me to paint nicely on every page!

It's honestly so much pressure to start filming for a painting tutorial 😅 But I always think that if it doesn't work out, I can always try again and no one will know (until I share a flip through of the whole journal haha🙃)

@@JournalAway haha, possibly, but i wouldn't know because i barely sketch or paint anything nowadays that's not a commission or in my journal - hence having zero filled in sketchbooks, so yeah, nothing to do a flip through with

I loved this flipthrough! Thank you for sharing. I totally agree about what to do with the “wrong side” of each page. Do you feel that the pages of your new sketchbook are better than the Strathmore regarding this issue, or about the same?

Thank you so much! 😍 I feel like the Etchr sketchbook is way more consistent with the right and wrong side! But it has slightly thinner paper (220 g/m2) so the paper bends a little bit more. Still strong enough to paint on both sides though! 😊

To be completely honest, I think I still struggle with painting roses too, but I can do my best in a future painting tutorial! 😊 It's a really difficult flower to master

It's so beautiful! Oh, I wish I could have learned watercolor in high school. I tried, but maybe I was using the wrong type of paper, or using the brush too wet, but it was usually a blotchy, runny mess. I have no idea how people are able to control it so it's not that way and actually LOOKS like something, instead of a puddle. Sigh. Anyway, thank you for sharing!

It's never too late! 😊 I started watercoloring after high school as well! The paper quality has a huge impact! Also learning the difference between wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques allows you to create different effects. :) It sounds like you might've had a little bit too much water on your brush and maybe switching to a smaller brush size might help with that too! Anyway, I hope you'll have time to pick up painting again one day! 🥰
