Love this break down. I had such a hard time finding good videos on the larger batteries that could power the monitors and camera. Thank you!

Hi Jason! Great video here, a question tho. You say you have an easyrig? I see in the video that you have a placid arm on top, which is this? From flycam/proaim? Or is your entire easyrig from flycam? Im trying to figure out if the flycam placid arm will work with my easyrig minimax

It's okay to power the camera from 5V usb output from vmount battery directly to camera usb-c port ?

I’ve been using the Rode Wireless go lately because my shotgun gets in the way if it’s mounted on the right cold shoe and my left hand wooden handle doesn’t cold shoe. I still haven’t found a great solution because I bump the mic when using the top handle and I can’t move my Atomos Shinobi too far with the shotgun (deity V3 Pro) when attached. I wonder if the ride wireless can be used as a shotgun lol

it can. It is more of a cardioid pattern though so will pick up more of everything rather than directional.

I have a query regarding a7iv body. When I tilt my a7iv for vertical shots.. there is a sound very clear..of some part moving in the body..as if some part is loose..is it a manufacturing defect?? Or does the sensor or any part move/wobble in the camera..is it something to do with the IBS?? Pls explain..
@JasonMorrisphotocinema2 жыл бұрын
that is the sensor moving. that is normal. Essentially when the camera is off the sensors kind float around a little

Tilta has a seperate cage model for the A7III.

Hola Jason! I would love to see a very complete and useful hybrid rig of the RS2 and the Tilta kit rig that you use for the A7SIII. Meaning when you have your A7SIII full Tilta rig and you want to mount it to the RS2 like what do you have to sacrifice, and what can actually be used with the stabilizer

Hey, does the Sony a7iv record prores raw with the atomos v?
@canadianoperator9 ай бұрын
Don’t get a dummy battery if you have a vertical grip. Gerald did a video regarding overheating and found that vertical grips reduce heating in the camera a lot, much like dummy batteries do. For me, I’ve got the C4EM OEM Sony grip on my A7IV and I’ve never had it overheat. Though I gotta say powering everything off of one battery is very nice.

What cable do you use to power the atomos recorder? I have a v plate with DC ports and would prefer that over dtap! Any suggestions?

Hey Jason, how would you capture audio from 2 sources? i.e. 2 lav mics and 1 shotgun mic ? This would be a run-and-gun situation where the environment would be slightly noisy. I tried using 2 lav mics and that seemed to have turned out fine but sometimes I need to capture environment audio as well... and I'm not entirely sure how to do that.
