You could put your 2850 on the mulcher and save running a 400hp Fendt clocking up extra hours eating into the resale value. If the mulcher is too big for it trade it in and get one that suits the 2850. You would be surprised how many hours you would put up on your newly acquired 2850 every year saving your high end tractors for the jobs they were bought for in the first place! Once again, excellent video. I love when I get a notification for your videos. Every other hobby is cast aside! Keep up the good work!

Largest field 326 acres…… You’ll be competing with us in Canada next - our field sizes on the farm here are limited by roads. The original surveys put North/South road allowances every mile and East/West roads every 2 miles so largest field size is theoretically 1280 acres. Yes, some road allowances are ‘deleted’ and farmed, but none on our farm allow for exceeding that number. Great to see the weather finally playing ball for you - hope it continues.

Absolutely fantastic channel this is quickly becoming James. What a team you’ve built. Everyone knows what they’re doing, everyone gets along and the good spirits are amazing to see. I thought it odd at first that you take very much a management style role on the farm, however seeing the insights on efficiency etc, it’s very clear exactly why you do that and why it’s so important to the smooth operation, which let’s be honest is absolutely crucial for farming in such short windows. Another great update, keep them coming!

James it is refreshing to see the repour you have with your staff there are a lot of employers could learn from you, what hit home to me is the farm I started working on when I left School had less acres than your biggest field, it employed three full time people and two part time, how times have changed

Great video thanks James. My dad did acres and acres every year of mole draining with a single leg behind a 964 county here in NZ. Awesome to see that massive unit of yours. You are dead right about these options being from the factory. I had to deal with an aftermarket GPS on a fendt with a horsch maize planter and I almost needed 3 phones all season to talk to techs at same time to sync it all up.!! Easiest life I've ever had was with Starfire, JD tractor and JD planter in USA. Sync sync sync.

The content is great really enjoying watching. I drove a lexion with a convio flex for 2 seasons always found barley and wheat would feed best with center belt speed of 70-80% and ran lateral belts 10% less than the center belt.
