Thanks for the the consistent high quality content LSV, you guys are really the only people who have explored the "competitive" cube genre and played it enough to truely form a definitive meta around it. One thing i will say is i believe you guys are really sleeping on the Agatha's soul cauldron. While the grisslebrand combo is a cool gimmick, the card is incredible at turning all your creatures into mana dorks for pinching an opponents elf, or making all your retrofitter tokens into selfless spirits ect. Love the content and keep at it ❤

As a Dutchman JanJansen is super Dutch. Jan is a Dutch name and Jansen is a Dutch surname that implies you are the son of another Jan, Jan Jan's Son basically. Him being so quintessentially dutch works well with creating treasure, the only thing that would make him more Dutch would be stealing other people's lands, but I guess that would be too on the nose. 'T: Destroy target whale, create a treasure token' would work well with my local heritage sadly.

58:30 LSV could have just assembled the combo right there by playing Agatha's Soul Cauldron. Then attack with Inti, discarding Griselbrand to Inti's trigger and putting a +1/+1 counter on the Inti, then just exile the Griselbrand to Agatha's Soul Cauldron and draw 7 cards, and it's over. But chose not to, apparently deliberately? Crazy.

Him drawing 7 cards there doesn’t win him the game at all. In fact it probably kills him faster against the kappa cannoner. Also that just suiciding inti as well. Would do nothing but set him even farther behind.

why do a lot of cube shy away from putting Mental Misstep? Its iconic, very good, and can put interaction in form of counter in non-blue decks. Am I missing something?

Mental misstep is a constructed metagame sniper. Cube decks are dependant on what is opened and what is taken. There is only one copy of any given card opened and in your opponents' decks. It's a sideboard card at best, and one that you will only bring in when you know your opponent has ancestral, thoughtseize, stp, or a mana dork. Through a constructed lens, this is a wide variety of cards, but through a cube lens, this is fewer than 10 cards spread unevenly across 7 other randomized decks.

Hindsight is 20-20 but it seemed very obvious to me at the end of pack 1 that somebody else was drafting reanimator, or at least heavy black, since no good black cards wheeled

there are enough reanimator cards in this cube for two people to be drafting it , also you dont have to be full reanimator to run the cards , and part of team draft is cutting the person from good cards . I dont think it really means much that no black cards wheel either black is arguably one of the top two colors in general.

If he was cut on Reanimator in pack 1, that means pack 2 should be good for him since the packs go the other way.

The concede vs recurring nightmare was really early, if enemy uses recurring nightmare top decking reanimate would have meant stealing ashen rider and exiling falling shenobi, basically winning on the spot.

Would it be better (balanced matches and/or more exiting to watch) if players could also opt to use another person's draft? Personaly I am okey whit it aslong as no two players use the same deck. Obviously the original drafter have priority in using there deck. But if two people wants to use the same deck another players deck and that player want to play a different deck, I do not know how that would be solved the best. Bast on winrate/record? I would assume they keep track on how each draft goes?

You should consider recording in 30FPS. 60FPS isn't needed for Magic Online and it makes it harder to play back for lower end PC's. Just saying. :)
